🌟 Symbols of the Nativity
The Nativity story is filled with powerful symbols that point us to who Jesus is and why His birth matters. Each element in the scene carries deep meaning—reminding us of God’s love, humility, and promise fulfilled. ✨ The Manger A manger—simple and humble—shows that Jesus came not in earthly glory but in complete humility. It reminds us that God meets us where we are, not where the world expects greatness. ✨ Mary and Joseph Mary represents faithful obedience; Joseph represents protective, steady trust. Together, they reflect the beauty of surrendering to God’s plan even when it doesn’t make sense. ✨ The Shepherds The shepherds symbolize God’s heart for the humble and ordinary. They were the first to hear the good news, showing that the gospel is for everyone—not just the powerful or privileged. ✨ The Angels Angels proclaim peace and joy, announcing that the Savior has come. They remind us that heaven celebrates God’s redemption plan. ✨ The Star The star guided wise men to Jesus, symbolizing divine direction. It teaches us that God still leads those who seek Him. ✨ The Wise Men & Their Gifts Gold, frankincense, and myrrh reveal Jesus’ identity: Gold for a King Frankincense for His divinity Myrrh foreshadowing His sacrifice Which Nativity symbol speaks to you the most, and why?

The shepherds and wise men. It reminds me that the lower rung of society is who found out about Jesus' birth first. No matter how low you are in society God wants you to know what He has done for you.

🙌 The Ten Lepers & Gratitude
The story of the ten lepers in Luke 17 is a powerful reminder of how important gratitude truly is. Ten were healed — but only one returned to thank Jesus. Here’s what this teaches us today: 1. Blessings are easy to receive, but gratitude is a choice. Many experience God’s goodness, but few pause to acknowledge Him. 2. A thankful heart stands out. The one who returned was noticed, honored, and remembered. 3. Gratitude brings us closer to God. The leper didn’t just receive healing — he received a deeper connection through his thankfulness. 4. Gratitude shifts our perspective. It helps us see not just what we have, but the One who provides. 5. Thanksgiving is an act of worship. When we give thanks, we give God glory. Let’s be like the one who returned — choosing gratitude, acknowledging God’s goodness, and keeping a thankful heart every day. 💛 What’s one thing you’re grateful for today?

I am thankful that I was blessed with a new job I just started this week. This job allows me to have weekends off so I can go to church again! It is also a pay increase and more opportunities for growth. It allows me to sit, which is what I need right now because of my hip. While I loved my last job, this is a true blessing for me.

I am thankful that he has blessed me with a job with weekends off so I can go to church again. I was able to attend my first service in a while yesterday and it was an amazing service that I needed to hear.
🌤️ Sabbath: God’s Gift of Rest
“Then He said to them, ‘The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.’” – Mark 2:27 In a world that glorifies busyness, God invites us to pause. The Sabbath isn’t just a rule — it’s a gift. A time to rest, refresh, and realign our hearts with Him. Rest is not laziness — it’s obedience. It’s trusting that God is in control even when we stop working. True rest restores our body, renews our spirit, and reminds us of who holds our tomorrows. 💬 Reflection: How do you intentionally rest and reconnect with God? What does Sabbath rest look like in your life? Take a breath today — God delights when His children find rest in Him. ✨

I just got a beautiful prayer journal. I am struggling with connecting with God, with setting time for just Him. I came across the prayer journal and I'm finding it is helping me focus more when praying and just being silent and listening.
