Hey everyone! So much has changed with AI bots, so what tools are best these days to take a ChatGPT generated graphic and upscale it enough to make it into an SVG so I can adjust colors, etc? I've tried getting ChatGPT to do it, but it keeps coming back pixelated, so I'm clearly doing something wrong. This is for my kids' school PTA, so I'm doing this in my free time and with 0 budget.

The Chair
I apologize if this has already been addressed, but...... @Lauren deVane, DID YOU END UP GETTING THE CHAIR?!?!?! I'm just now catching up on all of the classes (hello, ADHD!) and am DYING to know!

MIT Researchers Say AI Won't Replace Us
Found this interesting article in the most recent Superhuman AI newsletter. The newsletter synopsis says, "Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. A new study by MIT measures the impact of artificial intelligence on jobs and finds that it doesn’t make sense to replace most jobs with AI β€” even when AI can do a better job than humans." I heard something very similar at a conference of Texas community college leaders earlier last year, What do you guys think? Here's the link: https://www.csail.mit.edu/news/rethinking-ais-impact-mit-csail-study-reveals-economic-limits-job-automation?utm_source=www.superhuman.ai&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=mit-research-finds-it-doesn-t-make-sense-to-replace-most-jobs-with-ai

@Jeff Johnson @Ekaterina Solovieva I've also heard that we're in a period of the highest workforce retraining in history. Just a few years ago we were looking at most employees needing to be retrained once, maybe twice in their career. Now, however, with exponential technological evolution and advances, most workers entering the workforce now will be facing far more iterations of retraining across their career timeline.

@Jeff Johnson @Ekaterina Solovieva All of these are really great points and are at the heart of why I decided to jump on a 1:1 combo sesh with @Lauren deVane in June 2023. By the time I graduated college with a Photojournalism degree in 2004, we only had ONE class (not course...literal class) on digital photography and ONE class on Photoshop. Everything else we had learned to that point was film based. All of us were scared about what that meant for our jobs, and we were right to be concerned - EVERYTHING about our industry had changed. Although it wasn't the obliteration of photographers we feared (I DID kiss my dreams of being a staff magazine photographer goodbye), it was certainly a forced evolution that was no doubt a precursor to the shift we later had to make with rise of the iPhone and now this new pivot with AI.

@Risa Dexter Welcome! Fellow photographer here and I know exactly what you're talking about. Same reason I'm here, and I can see how AI has the potential to help photographers with the business, client experience, and marketing sides, all necessary parts of the business that don't come naturally to many of us. Furthermore, I've already seen how learning to prompt effectively (thanks to @Lauren deVane !) can vastly improve generative fill results in Photoshop. That alone has been a game changer for me.

@Alex Lemieux WHOA. That's amazing! I've been shooting for almost 30 years and am facing the very real possibility that I may have to stop shooting due to spine issues. Needless to say, it's kicked off an identity crisis, so reading this is blowing my mind and giving me hope. Everything you described above is what I did in person for my clients, so shifting that same idea to an AI medium is intriguing!
Satire post needs mockups and DALLE ain't comin' thru
Just finished writing "App Review: Napkin Sketch – Turn Your Coffee Stains into Designs" and I need some fake mockups. I've been struggle bussin' so hard. Any tips? I know I should play safe by not using any words and editing those in myself with Canva or something. But then I don't know how to start prompting a word-less interface. Any tips, advice, thoughts, concerns, tears, or donations of pitty are deeply desired.
