Les Brown & Jason Watson and drinking from a firehose
Interestingly its 1:42 like it was yesterday when I checked in.. today was a dynamic day... I had my first mentoring session with world-renowned motivational speaker Les Brown. I cant express how valuable this sessions was for me in my own personal growth and development. At age 81 he didn't skip a beat. He was just as dynamic and sharp as ever, spouting out quotes from great leaders like it was nothing. Interestingly he's re-iterated some of the same little pearls of wisdom that Jason has also been providing to us. Here are some pearls of wisdom from mouth of 81 year old Les Brown. ---Get someone to teach you what they have mastered. ---You net worth and income will be within 2-3K from the group for which you participate ---You don’t get what you want in life, You get in life what you are ---There’s no success without successors --- Building new strategic relationships is your path to greater success ---Jump out of line….Don't follow the pack My first assignment is to create a 1 minute powerful speech that resonates with an audience. All I can think of is WTF have I gotten myself into. This is 7 months of weekly sessions for the next 7 months all on improving my ability to communicate and persuade an audience. Its coming just in time as I am suppose to deliver a talk in front of 2-3K people at Gartner's Enterprise Risk, Audit and Compliance conference. Feels like I'm drinking from a firehose.. but that wont be for long. I'll rise to the challenge

Thanks, yeah this has definitely been a bit out of my comfort zone, but I'm hanging in there.
Good Morning Fella's
It's 1:42 am, almost my bedtime. Just wanted to give you guys a little motivation to say that this is the beginning of a journey that's going to be full of ups/down, surprises, and revelations. Just hang on tight because I have a feeling Jason has been waiting to let the floodgates open. I feel like that's what he's doing while restructuring everything. Just know you can do this. This is the next phase of the evolution that's going to uplift us all into greater heights in all areas of our lives. Personally, I'm looking forward to all the things in store for us as we learn and grow over the coming weeks, months, etc...

I have been living in the Charlotte NC metro area for the past 30 years. • What area of life you’re working to improve The is not one area I'm trying to improve. I need to improve and align all areas of my life to be the best Jeffrey Edwards I can be. • What your biggest challenge is right now My drive and consistency. I sometimes lack motivation and my energy level gets low at times.

Watson Training Academy Update: New Structure + Your First Step
Most communities collect members. This one builds men. Over the last several weeks the community has been rebuilt from the ground up. New structure. New courses. A clearer path from where you are to where you know you should be. Here is what is inside now: A structured course sequence that starts with the Identity Audit and moves through body, identity, business, and daily standard. A brotherhood of men doing the same work in real time. Weekly live coaching calls. A replay vault with every session recorded and organized. Tools, workbooks, and frameworks you can actually use. This is not a place to consume content and feel good about it. It is a place to do the work. Here is what to do right now. Go to Course 1. Watch the welcome video. Complete the Identity Audit. It will take you 45 minutes if you are honest with yourself. Post your commitment in the Introduce Yourself section when you are done. That post is your first act as a member of this community and it is what unlocks Course 2. Do not skip the audit. Do not introduce yourself before you complete it. The sequence exists for a reason. The men who get the most from this community are not the ones who joined. They are the ones who started immediately and did not stop. Your move. Jason Watson

I can't wait to get started.
Sedimentary Work Solutions
I work in Corporate America from home in an online capacity, with my full-time job (i.e., desk job), my part-time job as an adjunct professor, and as Founder & CEO of my technology company. I find that I'm sitting at my desk for long stretches, with little time to get away. I have a Versa desk that can go up and down, but that still doesn't move the needle when it comes to getting in activity and exercise. I have decided to get a set of dumbbells and one of those hydraulic arm exerciser trainers as supplements to sitting for long periods (i.e., 6-10 hours). I am also getting some ankle weights to use for leg exercises while sitting at my desk. Anyone out there in the same predicament? If so, what are you doing to get involved in movement/activity when you are glued to your desk for hours on end?
