The Stages of Awakening
Would love your thoughts on this. This is just my opinion and as always don't listen to me but this is the process I discuss in my therapy sessions and integration :-)

Utah is where I live work and play mostly. I am also in Nevada often. I am in the current cohort of the 5MEO-DMT/Buffo facilitation training. So that’s what brought me here. I have been on the psychedelic space for a few years now. Not counting my experiences when I was a teenager. I have worked with many entheogens/sacraments/medicines/psychedelics both in group settings and on my own. One fun thing I’ve learned while on this journey is that I am pretty good at cultivating mushrooms. The psychedelic space has been such a great space for me to grow and become more of what I want. I am hoping to continually learn as much as possible and to share where I can. Most of the time holding and creating space to work with psychedelics comes naturally for me, but I would like to grow that part of myself more.
Ask Kerby Questions
If you have questions you would like me to take a stab at let me know. Psychedelics, therapy, Awareness, Embodiment Protocol etc. If I don't know the answer (high probability that I won't) then I will reach out to my mentors and teachers, do some research, and see if I can get an answer and learn more at the same time. List any questions you have below.

In your experience what do you feel are some of the stages that people go through when they start to experience awareness?

Landed great for me Kerby. In my experience in this space I hear a lot “this person just needs this” or “that person just needs this”. Can’t say that I’m innocent with those thoughts. It can be challenging. Sometimes you want to throw or scream the thoughts of and embodiment of radical acceptance or something like that. Because you feel that would “fix” so much inside them. If they aren’t there they won’t hear it anyway. For example I sat with a family member once for a mushroom journey and because it was a family member I thought it would be okay to be a bit more influential. I mostly held space like I usually do but at times I threw in a bit of coaching about things like control and acceptance but in the end it didn’t really matter the person was not in that space to really here it. Improvements were made but I do believe that it is better to meet them where they are in the space with support, groundedness and your own curiosity and acceptance.

@Stephan Kerby I have a friend with a a very similar situation. He felt that he had to be the biggest and toughest. Only later realizing that a big reason for that was because of fear. Thank you for sharing.

Something that I have been working through most my life is having this constant companion of “being in trouble” or guilt, shame and or fear of being in trouble. Stems from heavy religious beliefs that I grew up in. It has been a lot better the last few years but still something that comes up for me and in a moment can completely shut me down and create self loathing and hatred for myself.
