There is still work to be done
Today, I didn’t represent MMA4AM the way I should have. While playing basketball, I was getting fouled, grabbed, and frustrated—and I allowed my emotions to get the best of me. MMA4AM has been received extremely well at that gym, but today my actions didn’t reflect the discipline, character, and self-control that this community stands for. I’m not sharing this to beat myself up or make excuses. I’m sharing it because leadership requires honesty and accountability. We can build the brand, wear the shirts, encourage others, and speak about discipline—but we must also live it when our emotions are tested. Shoutout to OJ and Jeff for checking me and reminding me of what we’re building. That’s what real community looks like. Sometimes we need brothers around us who aren’t afraid to pull us back into alignment. Today showed me that there is still work to be done in me—and I’m committed to doing it. “Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.” — Proverbs 16:32 We don’t have to pretend we’ve arrived. We just have to remain accountable, keep growing, and get back in alignment.

@Jake Bolden For sure bro! We’re all still learning and growing, and that’s why it’s essential to have the right people around you; people who will build you up, keep you accountable, and help get you back on the right track when needed. I commend you for recognizing your areas of improvement and taking accountability for the situation. That takes real character and maturity. Keep pushing, bro..we got you! 💪🏿💪🏿

Mental recovery
We spend a lot of time talking about physical recovery—rest days, stretching, nutrition, hydration. But don’t forget about mental recovery. Take a break from the noise. Put the phone down. Spend time with the people you love. Read something that fills your spirit. Pray. Laugh. Be present. A rested mind makes better decisions, carries more peace, and is ready for the week ahead. Recovery isn’t weakness—it’s preparation. Have a blessed Sunday, everyone. 🤝

Essential! 🎯
5 mile run
MMA4AM 🏃‍♂️ This morning was tough. Five miles with @Michael Worthington . There were moments I wanted to quit. My legs were heavy, my mind was negotiating, and I had to slow down and fast walk more than once. But I didn’t stop. Mike finished before me, but instead of calling it a day, he turned around, came back, and finished the last stretch with me. That’s what brotherhood looks like. Sometimes strength isn’t running the fastest. Sometimes it’s refusing to quit. And sometimes it’s going back for the person who’s still fighting. Today’s run reminded me that the goal isn’t to never struggle. The goal is to keep moving forward, no matter the pace. You don’t have to finish first. You just have to finish. Meet me at 4AM. 🌱
