Been using a combo of Maschine & Cubase - M is crazy fast for creation, and it doubles as a performance tool, so I find I'm creating things that can quickly be transformed into a performance. Cubase is powerful for my mixing & arranging. After all the comments on Bitwig; I may have to check it out again. Sounds great.

@Lex Christopherson It is tempting.. but I'm stuck in the old dog / new tricks mode - If I can't figure out by now how to do something in Cubase... then it's me, not the DAW, lol! Maschine is so simple, I can't imagine any DAW making composition faster. I compose so fast, that I just lose patience to imagine trying to sit down in any DAW to finish arranging & mixing something ;)

Hi from Canada! Been producing for a long time...

Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks to Taches for starting this. I started writing / sequencing music in the 90s, so I've seen a lot. I've mixed, mastered, and recorded professionally, and now enjoy music again as a hobby. Trust me; it's not always "the dream" to do music full time, but you do learn a lot! I found I do enjoy helping others a lot too, so hopefully I can contribute here when I'm not too busy. I have a "band" project that I'm writing for lately; more industrial / wave / rock, but my own stuff is more electronic. cheers
