When Should You Start 1 to 1 Instruction?
⛳ When should a junior golfer begin 1-to-1 instruction and high-speed video analysis? Earlier than most parents think. The biggest mistake in junior golf is waiting until: ❌ bad habits become permanent ❌ frustration builds ❌ confidence drops ❌ scores stall ❌ the junior starts “trying fixes” from everywhere online You do NOT need a perfect swing to begin learning correctly. In fact, the earlier juniors understand:🏌️ setup📹 movement patterns🎯 practice structure🧠 cause and effect…the faster improvement happens later. High-speed video helps juniors: ✔️ understand what they are actually doing ✔️ learn visually faster ✔️ build awareness early ✔️ avoid years of compensation patterns 1-to-1 coaching becomes valuable when a junior:• wants to improve faster• starts practicing regularly• plays on the course consistently• becomes competitive• or simply wants more confidence The goal is not perfection early. The goal is building movements, habits, and understanding that make golf enjoyable for life.

Time to Learn Better Golf
My name is Jeff Jones, and I am a 42-year PGA teaching professional. I picked up a golf club at age 13 in 1973 and was instantly hooked on getting better. Golfed all 4 years in high school and played 4 years of college golf before I realized I was not going to be a professional golfer on T.V. Joined the PGA and realized I didn't want to sell shirts and make tee times; I wanted to teach golf. I wanted to help players journey easier as I had figured it out the hard way. Once I wrote a grant for junior golf development I switched from teaching golf to focusing on teaching junior golfers. In 1997 I started an at school after school golf instruction company and elementary schools. Over 21K students have come through the program but I realized something was missing and that was more feedback. Golf instruction is very transactional; hour lesson, hour clinic, weeklong camp and it was always on a schedule. What if players could learn from anywhere? At any time? At any pace? This I said would be a much better way to impact the next generation of players. This is what I have out together at this community. If you have a junior golfer and they want to get better then this is a community where they can learn. Learning to play golf comes in the form of general "how to" information and it comes in "what do I need to do now" information. There is no fee totally FREE content all of the "how to" information is contained and there is a lot of valuable content learned over 42 years of teaching and 53 years of playing. The "what do I need to do now" information comes from 1 to 1 private instruction using high speed video analysis and specific practice plans, drills and education. I look forward to helping your junior golfer Learn Better Golf.
