I need your help! $1/YEAR with 7-day free trial?
I'm trying to avoid it and keep this group FREE, but it's frustrating to have to constantly monitor disingenuous posts and replies. I've been doing this for long enough that I can tell when people are posting fake questions and answers just to try to engage with people and then try to privately sell them services that they don't need or want and that aren't even good. Honestly, if someone was unhappy with $1/year, I would REFUND THEM IN FULL. "You're not happy? Sure, here's your dollar back." But forcing people to get a credit card out would reduce the bad accounts to nearly ZERO. Thoughts? Ideas? Also, have you checked out the CLASSROOM section? I made all of those courses for you and you have free access to ALL OF THEM.

I missed the live, but have a question about book hooks. I really want to make sure my book is good enough so I have less trouble marketing it. I’ve been focusing a lot on the book hook. What resources or guides are out there for the hook?
How to collect emails before your customers buy your book on Amazon
I'm looking for feedback. Can you help me test something? I'm working on something that I'm calling a Free Book Page. I made a couple sample pages. Can you try them and let me know what you think? 1 - Evergreen Affiliate Marketing by @Nate McCallister : https://freebook.page/eam 2 - Rise of the Reader by @Nick Hutchison : https://freebook.page/rotr These are just test sites right now; they don't have Kindle ebooks attached yet. What is the purpose of these sites? Well, most customers would prefer to buy books directly on Amazon. But as an author, I want to collect their contact information. So before sending them to Amazon, I want to offer them a digital item like the ebook, PDF, sample chapter, or bonus chapter in exchange for their email. Then, send them directly to Amazon to buy the book. Make sense? If you're already an author, would you be interested in a landing page like these? Setting these pages up isn't difficult, but it's a lot of steps for a new author. Thanks for the help and feedback! Chris Green Skool Admin

@Philip Calvert if you're willing I'd love to see one of your sites in action. I like the idea bout putting scorecard in the book. I'm working on a motivational book for newish actors and was designing some assessments to help the reader discover which type of fears hold them back. I was going to put that in the book, but perhaps this is something I put a link to in the book? You comment has be thinking about some more productive ways to include the assessments. Thanks!

Start with ACTION (don’t wait for CONFIDENCE)
Adam Grant is a great person to follow online. Apply this post to your self-publishing journey: “You don't have to build confidence before taking action. You build confidence by taking action. Standing still breeds rumination and seeds self-doubt. Motion fuels progress and elevates efficacy. Never let doubts about your ability undermine your faith in your ability to learn.”

This is a great quote, especially for an actor like myself.

I'm an *ahem* older actor in Oklahoma who wants to help aspiring actors overcome their fears and self-doubts about starting their own acting career.
