Claude completely ignoring folder structure this week
This week, my token usage jumped, and the quality of responses plummeted. Then, I started asking directly if it read and/or followed the folder's Cluade.md and Context.md. I've attached the response. Anyone else having this problem?

@Gabriel Azoulay I have been thinking of incorporating image and video assets. Did you simply attach the images with your prompt, or did you create an asset folder like one described in the remotion manual to be sync'd as specified in the spec?

A macro question... would adding these same 3 .md files to the ~/.claud folder make these files apply to all of my claud projects on my mac? Or is that just used by the claud desktop application to apply to projects opened via the application?

@Alex Laurs ~/ refers to the currently logged in user's home directory. So if your user name on your computer is "Alex" then ~/ is shorthand for the folder MacintoshHD/Users/Alex/. It is the same as clicking on "Alex" (the little house icon) in favorites in the left sidebar of a finder window.

@Matthew Creamer At the end, the article states "The calculations and energy comparisons in this article are drawn from comprehensive analysis of data center consumption, AI training costs, and device efficiency studies. For the full technical breakdown and additional citations, see the references below," but I can't find those references anywhere. I am very curious about this data. Could you please update to include the refs?

I experimented with the same “walk me through X” prompt in various LLMs. Just like humans it gave very different answers, ranging from conceptual steps (copilot), to concrete instructions that i could apply (Claude). I don’t know if I would go to harmonizing with my “frequency,” but one sure harmonized with my expectations of what makes an answer “useful” way more than the others.
