GPS: Let's Start. Niche Finder Freelancer
Let's take a first taste of the Guided Publishing System. Please read how the system works: https://www.skool.com/guild/classroom/b3937406. It will take about 3 minutes of your time (on every page, you will see the approximate reading time). On weekends, you completed the Publisher Persona interview and saved the results in a file. This is one of the most important files you will provide to the system to produce results that suit you best. Niche Finder will apply your Publisher Persona to the actual data for hundreds of self-published books, published in the last 18 months, with a BSR below 30,000 and fewer than 25 reviews. After you get the first results, you can continue researching, referencing the Sales History provided in the prompt. As soon as you find an interesting niche, you can validate it with the KIP Scout extension: https://www.skool.com/guild/classroom/a909acca?md=3a8050165a21498aa786392aa7704616 Please share your first impressions in the comments. The Guided Publishing System is not set in stone; it's a flexible, constantly updated tool, so your feedback can help fellow publishers.

@Igor O Love how this system blends persona clarity with real market data. Using low-review + strong BSR filters feels like a smarter starting point than guessing niches. Excited to test it and see what patterns show up.
Why So Many Amazon KDP Publishers Get Stuck at $50–$1k/Month
Most Amazon KDP publishers don’t stall because they’re lazy. They stall because they’re solving the wrong problem. I’ve noticed a pattern with publishers stuck around $50–$1k/month: • They focus on publishing more instead of publishing better • They chase random niches without validating buyer intent • They tweak covers and blurbs endlessly while ignoring traffic flow • They rely purely on “organic hope” instead of a repeatable system What’s interesting is that the jump from $1k → $5k/month usually isn’t about talent or luck. It's about clarity: – Knowing which books deserve scaling – Understanding why some listings convert and others don’t – Treating KDP like a business, not a slot machine I’m curious, For those here who’ve broken past the $1k/month mark:What was the ONE shift that changed everything for you? And for those still climbing: What do you feel is your biggest bottleneck right now, traffic, conversion, or niche selection? Let’s turn this into a real discussion instead of recycled advice.

@Bec Robbie Email + ARC works, but reviews usually stall when it’s not done at enough volume or consistency. At that point, the constraint is less “strategy” and more system + traffic feeding it. Quick question: What’s been the main blocker to scaling it so far, list size, traffic costs, or not having a repeatable review flow in place?

@Paul Davidson That’s a perfect illustration of the difference between activity and leverage. Once you’ve got a book converting at 20%+, ads stop being risky and start behaving like a multiplier. The hard part isn’t the ad spend, it’s earning the right to scale by getting the book, positioning, and market fit right first. Out of curiosity, what were the early signals that told you, this is the one before you went all in on ads?
Covers Designer Hire: Which Set of Covers Do You Like Better?
Imagine you are creating a book about decluttering. If you hired two cover designers and gave them a task: Create a cover for a book about decluttering with the title: "Decluttering Made Simple. Subtitle: Practical Strategies to Organize Your Home and Achieve Peace from Clutter in Less than 10 Minutes a Day. By Kate Hansen." Designers returned with their concepts. What offer would you prefer as a prototype to continue with? Your ideas about the quality of designs? Cast your vote for the set you like better. ----- ⚠️ If you recognized some designs, NO SPOILERS please.

@Igor O Both sets communicate the decluttering theme well, but I personally lean toward the set with clearer typography and stronger visual hierarchy, it feels more market-ready at thumbnail size, which matters a lot for eBook sales. One thing that’s really helped me with cover decisions like this is working closely with an expert who understands not just design aesthetics, but also reader psychology and marketplace trends. Having expert guidance makes it much easier to choose (and refine) a cover that doesn’t just look good, but actually sells.
