Lazy Sunday Ponderings.....Which EO ARE you?
My students know that if I had to select just one essential oil to take on a deserted island it would be Marjoram. They also know that if I had to say which essential oil represents me as a person, it is also Marjoram. They also know that one of my heroe's of Aromatherapy is Daniel Penoel. " What is the first memory about your first contact with essential oils? My first memory is about marjoram (true marjoram, Origanum majorana). I was very impressed by the powerful scent of this aromatic liquid, and from that moment on, I felt that essential oils would become part of my life. So, 53 years later, it remains to be true!" Daniel Penoel So, for today's lazy Sunday ponderings, which EO exemplifies your personality?

When I started in aromatherapy I did not know my favorite oil, Sweet Orange, would actually represent me as a person today. Do not get me wrong I know am sunshine in a bottle personality but not sure that has always been the case. My other reason for the love of this oil is that when I started making my stock blends, it seemed that if I just added one drop of this oil to it, the synergy just all came together. Love this exercise!

Morning musings!
What is your favourite, go-to aromatherapy book, excluding mine 😊, and your favourite book, of any genre, that you've read several times? I'll start, my fav Aromatherapy book is the one at the front of the photo. My 'other' favourite book is To Kill a Mockingbird with Perfume on equal footing. So which are your favourites?

@Jane Lawson The book has blends? LOL I very rarely look at that part of the book and go with my gut instead. I love to read passages about the oils themselves and see where it takes me. She was the first to show me that oils have characters / personalities about them so I love to re-read those.

Introduce yourself!
Go on, be a devil.... tell us a little or a lot about yourself 😊, let's get to know you! Are you a novice/home user of complementary therapies or a therapist or currently a student? Rainbows, Jane

I was so happy to find Jane here on Skool amongst my other favorite teachers of oils. Hello, I am from Minnesota in the US which is a state so close to Canada sometimes we talk like them. I have been practicing aromatherapy since 2017 and started a side business a year later in my local area. I still have a day job as an architectural project manager but my true passion are scents...Sweet Orange to be specific. In the past couple of years I have been leaning into my intuition a lot more and being a vendor at holistic fairs and expos with all the other healers in my area. My favorite is to blend in person and make them their own rollerbottle for what they need. In the past couple months, I am diving into herbs and making my own teas. It is nice to get a different perceptive on the plants then I have had before.

@Jane Lawson Actually I saw you name over in Liz's community and you approved pretty soon after, I am happy to see you here! My architectural background works beautifully with the creativity of the aromatherapy. I am excited about adding to my learnings and teachings on teas and herbal medicine. I did not even dig around in the community yet, just excited to be here!
