New Claude Sonnet 5 model (replacement for Fable?)
I love a good workaround - and this feels like the "fix" for giving/taking-away Fable 5. And I'm excited to hear what some of my favorite "tech bros" say about this model. (Many were legit heartbroken about Fable 5 going away.) From the Anthropic blog: --- Claude Sonnet 5 is built to be the most agentic Sonnet model yet. It can make plans, use tools like browsers and terminals, and run autonomously at a level that, just a few months ago, required larger and more expensive models. Read the whole post here --- Also, the whole flora/fauna thing w/ the new model icons is an interesting take. I'm not sure what I make of it. thoughts?

@Lindsay MacGregor The US government got involved and now it is available to no one. I'm hoping it gets reversed quickly.

@Dione Grillo me too!
I heard that ChatGPT Codex is getting BIG updates...
OpenAI is {re}building Codex directly into the chatgpt desktop app. AND they're rolling out a feature called "Sites" in beta that will be rolled out soon. This will give you the ability to share pages publicly. https://developers.openai.com/codex/sites

I love that all my builds in Claude Code can also be played with and grown in Codex. It's been fun to see what they do differently!

Yes. I love having all the control and all the profits. :) BUT, I don't think I want to keep stretching myself... it getting to be decision time...
I'm just putting this out there...
I'm ready to dive into Claude Code. Where should I start?

I'm happy to help! It is a rabbit hole I'm so glad I'm in. LOL. But really. Start with the foundations. 1. Download Git, Node and then Claude Desktop in that order to avoid any errors. 2. Set up your files so everything stays organized and you don't run into a token horror story. LOL. 3. Set up your main md file like a table of contents, not all the info. (Again, the token thing) 4. Set up your env file to protect yourself and your passworks and keys. 5. Go in curious. And use it! Say things like "what would it take?" "how can we?" 6. Test everything as you go. I see people get excited to build and they just assume it all works. Test everything. Correct as you go. and you will be amazed at how well it all comes together!

@Wendy Breakstone oh yes! Those two work with Claude to bring you some amazing benefits. If you don’t see any errors, your computer probably has git download already. But node lets you run some really powerful anthropic created tools and since they are so common and powerful I have all my clients download it before we start our work.
