✨ Hey Magic Seekers and Anime Dreamers! ✨
Have you ever watched your favorite anime and felt deep inside that the magic, the energy, the spiritual powers they show… might actually be real? That there’s something more to this world than meets the eye? 🌌 Guess what? Your feeling is *real*. 💫 In Reiki, we work with energy that flows through and around us—energy you can actually *feel* as warmth, tingling, or gentle pulling. It’s like the spiritual powers in anime, but grounded in real-life experience. You don’t need to be a master or have special powers to tap into it—just focus, visualize, and open your heart. 👐✨ We use symbols and mantras, kind of like magical spells, to guide and amplify this energy. And here’s the coolest part: Reiki energy can even work from afar, just like those epic anime scenes where power reaches across space and time. 🌠 This isn’t fantasy—it’s a gentle, healing force that anyone can learn to connect with. Your inner sense of magic? It’s not just a wish. It’s a calling. And here, you’re not alone. We’re a community that *gets* it, that believes in the unseen, and supports each other on this incredible journey. 🌿💖 So if you’ve ever wanted to explore the real magic behind the stories you love, come join us. Let’s discover together how the energy of the universe flows through all of us—just waiting to be awakened. 🌟 You’re ready. The magic is real. And it’s waiting for you. 🔮✨ Feel free to share your thoughts or questions—let’s start this magical adventure together! 🚀💫

Mark, this really resonates with me 🔥 I actually watched the latest Demon Slayer movie in the theater with my kids here in Japan, and I came out of it thinking exactly this. Beneath the action and emotion, there is so much real esoteric Buddhist and Onmyōdō-style depth woven into the story 👹⛩️✨ What struck me most is that it does not just borrow the aesthetic. It often carries the logic too: ritual force, karmic weight, purification, hidden worlds, disciplined training, the shaping power of intention, and the constant tension between defilement and awakening. Even when it is stylized for entertainment, you can feel that it is drawing from something much older and much more serious 🕯️🌀 That is what makes anime so fascinating to me at its best. Sometimes it is not “fantasy” in the shallow sense at all. Sometimes it is a cultural vessel carrying fragments of real cosmology, real practice, and old ways of seeing the world 🐉📿🌙 So yes, I absolutely love what you are doing here. There really is a home needed for the deeper tradition behind what people glimpse in series like Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, or Naruto 🙏🔥📜
Something big is taking shape. 🎌
When I started the Japanese Grimoire Society, I had one goal: to build a place where the real tradition behind the anime — behind Kuji Kiri, behind Shingon Reiki — finally has a home. Not a wellness app. Not a beginner's course. A real grimoire. The kind that takes years to write. What is already inside: Deep texts on Shinto, Shingon and Shugendo. The real history behind Kuji Kiri. Reiki decoded from Japanese original sources — not the simplified Western version. Spirits, Buddhas, the tradition behind what you have seen in Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer. Some doors are open. Some are still being carved. What is growing — week by week: 🎌 Start Here ⛩️ Shinto · Shingon · Shugendo 📜 The Open Grimoire 🌿 Foundations of Practice 🔮 Kuji Kiri Decoded ☀️ Shingon Reiki Decoded ⚔️ The Warrior's Path Decoded 🔮 Kuji Kiri Levels 1–3 🪷 Shingon Reiki Level 1 🐉 The Warrior's Path 🌙 Live Session Recordings 🖐️ The First Touch 🌬️ The First Step Not all of it is there yet. But it is coming — and it is going to be extraordinary. You are in the right place at exactly the right time. 🐉 Dr. Mark Hosak · PhD Japanese Studies, Heidelberg · Shingon lay monk · Founder of Shingon Reiki

This is incredibly exciting, Mark. 🔥 What you’re building feels rare in the best way: a place where the real depth behind all these fragments people glimpse through anime, pop culture, and simplified spiritual systems can actually be encountered with seriousness. I especially love the phrase a real grimoire. You can feel that this is not being assembled for quick consumption, but carved slowly, layer by layer, from years of work, study, and devotion. Also, bringing Shinto, Shingon, Shugendō, Kuji Kiri, and Reiki back into a more honest relationship with their Japanese roots is such important work. Very happy to be here early and to watch this grow. 🐉⛩️📜
What You fehlt is true 🎌
You've seen it in Naruto. In Demon Slayer. In Noragami. The hand signs. The symbols. The rituals that seem to carry real power. You always sensed there was something true behind it. There is. I spent 30 years tracking it down. Through ancient Japanese temples. Through texts that have never been translated into English. Through initiations most Western practitioners don't even know exist. 📜 What I found changed everything I thought I knew about Reiki, about Kuji Kiri, about the spirit world of Japan. This community is where I open the grimoire. Not the sanitized version. The real one. 🗝️ You'll find deep dives into sources that most people have never seen. Practices that come directly from the Shingon tradition. And a community of people who, like you, knew there was more — and came looking for it. Explore the Classroom. Ask questions in the feed. This is your space. The door is open. 🏯 Dr. Mark Hosak PhD Japanese Studies, Heidelberg · Three years research in Kyoto Shingon lay monk · Founder of Shingon Reiki

I just had a look at the classroom and I'm really excited about what you're building here. Most of it was never published in English in this way. Can't wait to see more 👏

@Michael Meder @Jean-Paul Okada Really glad you found your way here. This is a place where the energy you may have felt in anime, manga or Japanese mythology is real – and where we go deep into the actual practices behind it. Feel free to explore, ask questions and share what brought you here. The best journeys start with curiosity. Looking forward to walking this path with you. 🙏✨

Hi everyone and thank you for the warm welcome, I’m Jean-Paul, based in Tokyo 🇯🇵 My path into Japanese esotericism began long before I had words for it. As a child, watching Saint Seiya opened the door to astrology, myth, cosmic symbolism, and the feeling that anime was pointing toward something real behind the veil ✨♈ Later, that fascination led me into actual practice. I trained in Tendai Buddhism, including temple residency and ordination, and I continue to explore the living borderlands where Tendai, syncretic Shintō, Shugendō, mantra, pilgrimage, and ritual practice meet ⛩️🔥 I’m especially interested in Japan’s hidden spiritual technologies: sacred geography, kami-buddha syncretism, Katakamuna, kotodama, astrology, and the way sound, symbol, place, and body practice form one living mandala 🌀🔔 Very happy to be here 🙏 I deeply appreciate Mark’s work because it takes seriously what many of us sensed through anime, games, and pop culture: that behind the images, seals, spirits, and powers, there are real traditions waiting to be studied properly.
