8 contributions to Thriving Professionals Network
It’s time to officially bring this community back to life!
Over the past couple of months, I’ve been rebuilding things behind the scenes so this space can better support the kind of growth and career momentum we’re all working toward. New resources. A clearer structure. And more ways for members to support each other. I’m excited to share that we will officially relaunch The Thriving Professionals Network on March 23rd! Starting then, we’ll be opening the doors to new members joining the community. That means more professionals, more perspectives, more networking opportunities, and more chances to support each other’s growth. As founding members, you helped build the foundation of this community. And you’ll continue to have full access to all of the resources and coaching inside. We’ll also be restarting our live mastermind coaching sessions twice per month, starting next Friday, March 27th, at 10 PST, 11 MST, 12 CST, 1 EST. Click here for the link But before new members start arriving, I’d love for everyone here to reconnect a bit. Drop a quick comment and share: 1️⃣ What you do professionally 2️⃣ One thing you're currently working toward in your career 3️⃣ One way you’d be happy to help others in the community It could be: • Networking introductions • Resume feedback • Interview advice • Industry insights • Leadership experience • Something else entirely The more we know about each other, the stronger this community becomes. Looking forward to seeing this community thrive again.

1️⃣ What you do professionally - Executive leadership in resort, community, and private recreation - previous role was General Manger for a special recreation district in San Mateo, CA - Currently doing some contract work assisting a firm develop comprehensive master plans for municipal recreation agencies 2️⃣ One thing you're currently working toward in your career - Returning to my career - took a break to care for a family member 3️⃣ One way you’d be happy to help others in the community - Could be useful to create a list of the top 10, most common interview questions, and practice answering to your fellow Thriving Professionals for feedback - kind of like a mock interview scenario. Everyone would have a chance to answer a few questions/receive feedback each session.
This Friday's Mastermind
Hey gang! A few of you have expressed interest in the topic of networking, so the main focus of this Friday's mastermind will be on… yep, networking. 🙂 But not the awkward, transactional kind. We’re talking about the kind of conversations that actually lead to opportunities — the ones that build momentum, create real connections, and open doors. This is exactly what most people struggle with… and also what makes the biggest difference in getting interviews (and offers) right now. So I want to make this session as valuable and tailored as possible for you: What specifically within networking would you like us to focus on? - Starting conversations? - What to actually say (without feeling salesy)? - Turning conversations into opportunities? - Following up without it feeling weird? - Building a system so it’s consistent (not random)? - Drop your biggest challenge or question below 👇 Also, quick heads up: We’re bringing back these Friday mastermind sessions as a consistent space to learn, grow, and not go through this alone. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Kris, couldn't remember from the last sessions, do you record the Mastermind's?? I will be traveling back from an interview, and won't be able to make this round and would like to see what I miss!
Huge Wins Happening Inside This Community 👏
Big wins have been happening inside this community. Even while things have been quiet here the past couple of months, many of you have been making serious career moves. And that deserves to be recognized. So today I want to celebrate some of the momentum happening inside The Thriving Professionals Network. Let’s give a big round of congratulations to a few members who have had some incredible wins recently: @Monika Witt landed a fantastic new role that is strongly aligned with the career vision she set out to create. Tons of opportunities ahead, and she’s excited about what’s next. Monica, what part of this new role are you most excited to dive into first? @Ashley Robertson navigated company restructuring after starting a new role late last year and landed in an even better position working under her mentor. She’s continuing to grow in the AI space she’s so passionate about. Ashley, what are you most excited to learn or build in this new role within AI? @Nick Tabbal secured two fractional consulting engagements and is currently working 40+ hours per week with both clients. The two clients are Claritas (the company he interviewed with and made it to the final round) and Larridin (a company founded by two former colleagues). These projects could potentially turn into full-time opportunities. Nick, what has been the biggest lesson or surprise from working in fractional roles so far? @James Eldridge postponed launching his own business with a new baby on the way, refocused on creating value inside his current company, and successfully negotiated a salary increase as a stepping stone toward launching later this year. James, what do you think made the biggest difference in successfully negotiating that raise? @Mary Davis has been building strong networking momentum and generating promising conversations and potential referrals despite the challenges of the job market.

Interview Question/Answer Study Group
Howdy, We discussed a topic during the career mastermind session today, and wanted to share with all in the Flo Collective Community. Thought it could be helpful for some (or all) in this group to have a weekly interview question/answer study group. The idea is we'd identify a list of 8 to10 or so questions that we'd work through over several weeks. Would probably have time for each person to practice at least 2 question answers and receive feedback each week. Like or comment on this post if you'd be interested, and I'll begin to facilitate this activity. Let me know if you'd be interested in assisting w/ facilitating the group as well!
