Omg this is so exciting 😍. I have always wanted to free fly my bird! My name is Jaylene and I've owned several birds though the years, my best friend and funky bird i call her, her name is Pinapple and she's a sun cheak green cheak conure. Ive had her for about 3 or 4 months and she's still very young. (We are in the Fremont county Colorado area)She's about a year old and was 10 weeks when I brought her home with us. What i have been doing with her is taking her with me everywhere and when she wasn't able to fly I would take her outside so she starts to get familiar with being outside. She still gets anxious about being out and about but everything we go out or I take her in the car, she gets a little bit braver. She has no recall experience yet so I wouldn't dare risk taking her out there yet without her carrier. We tried getting her into a harnesbut she absolutely despised it. I know I should have been more patient in getting her used to it but eh. Here is my baby girl! Her and I have gotten so close and keep getting closer and closer everyday! So my number one question that I do have is, is it even possible to flight train a conure and if so would I even be able to free fly here in my state, we are a mountain state and we have tons of Hawks. I dont belive it would even be safe to free fly her here but I have always wanted to so badly. Thanks everyone and thank you for having me here!
