Just learnt this about Google Sheets - hope this helps someone!
A client needed their payroll automated — they track teacher hours and lessons in another system, and wanted pay calculated and updated in Google Sheets automatically. Normally, I’d spin this up through n8n, but today I found out about Google Apps Script. Turns out, it’s perfect for this - you can host your code directly inside Sheets, make API requests, run calculations, triggers every Monday at 9am, and automate everything natively. Built the whole workflow and deployed it for free, no extra tools or subscriptions needed.

@Muskan Ahlawat Im glad, thank you
To Self-Host or Not Self-Host
I have self-hosted n8n and it works as intended. I did run into issues when I would restart my computer and not realizing that I had to run the docker container to reach my internal host. There was a learning curve with connecting to my Gmail which includes Google Sheets and Google Drive but I got that figured out as well even though it’s a bit different from using the n8n cloud version. Now I’m struggling to configure Telegram since it’s not straight forward how it is connecting when having an n8n cloud account. Not sure what else that I will run into in the future that will need some configuration while self-hosting. So I started thinking about future clients and if it would be best to use the n8n cloud version compared to self-hosting. Any thoughts and suggestions would be highly appreciated.

For clients, probably best just to have them on the cloud version. Save you the headaches and if the automation is doing its job, the time they save will more than pay for the subscription
⚡️ I built a LinkedIn autopost machine worth $2K!
Here’s what it does on autopilot: ✅ Finds trending topics in my niche ✅ Writes posts in my own style ✅ Generates clean visuals ✅ Schedules + posts at peak times I basically wake up to leads + engagement while LinkedIn runs itself. The $2K Stack: - n8n → Automates everything - Airtable → Teaches AI my style - Perplexity → Finds hot topics - GPT → Drafts text + images - Scheduler → Posts automatically 💡 Feed it your past content → it keeps getting smarter. 👉 Want a more in-depth guide? 🔥 Screening resumes manually is painful. So I built a workflow that: 1️⃣ Reads a candidate’s resume → extracts all skills. 2️⃣ Compares those skills with the job requirements. 3️⃣ Generates a skill gap report → highlighting what’s missing. 4️⃣ Saves everything in Google Sheets. 5️⃣ Instantly emails the recruiter with the results. ⚡ In seconds, you know whether the candidate fits—or what they’re lacking. 👉 Engagement questions for Skool: Would you prefer this to run for every resume automatically, or only for shortlisted candidates? If you had this report, would you share it with candidates too (to help them upskill)? Should I drop the step-by-step workflow build here for the community? Anyone used JSON?

And this is why people just lie on resumes lol
Demo organization-specific service
For people who have developed agents, automations, solutions, etc. for a specific business operations function (I.e. hiring, or customer service), how do you demo the free offer? The digital marketing (content) deliverable is more clear for me, but I'm curious how people make the case for processes that are more internal, and therefore harder to target the specific problem to solve. Thanks!

You could create a loom video demoing the product using made up data as the example so they can see how it would work. Then you can tailor it to their own systems once they are interested. Hope that helps!
