Community Story Building Time
Let’s build a story together 👀 I’ll start with one sentence…and each person adds the NEXT sentence in the comments. Build on to the story by creating the next sentence. If you see someone typing, wait for their sentence and then type yours out, building on theirs Let’s see where this goes 😂 Here's the first sentence: 👉 The year is 1996 and Joe is at work in his office in NYC when the fire alarm in the building starts to go off. Your turn 👇 (Only ONE sentence per comment—no overthinking it, just keep it going)

@Krista Brea when Joe received the fax, all the blood has rushed out of his face and head in fear. The message read urgent. But urgent was spelled with a “A” not a “U”. You see, Joe’s wife is A CIA agent overseas. Whenever there’s a problem that she cannot communicate by phone, she will send text with urgent spell “ARGENT”. Joe works on the 160th floor at the World Trade Center. The World Trade Center was blown up in 1993 with a silvery explosive, this information was never released to the media. So when Joe received the code word “ARGENT”! Joe had to get out of the building fast!
How Do You Know What Will Sell? 🤑
Guessing what people want is basically gambling.🎲 Sure, every once in a while someone gets lucky and publishes a book that takes off. But if you're relying on luck, you're making the process much harder than it needs to be. The better approach is research. Before I create a book, I want to understand whether people are actually searching for the topic and whether there's an opportunity to get visibility and convert that visibility into sales. You've probably heard me talk about keywords before, and a tool I use called Publisher Rocket. That's exactly why I'm sharing my latest video. In it, I walk through my keyword research process, how I evaluate book ideas, and the things I look for when deciding whether a topic is worth pursuing. If you've ever wondered how to stop guessing and start making more data-driven publishing decisions, check it out below.

Hello, Krista. Your information is good. My comments are for those reading this post. Again, everything you said is correct. But let me tell you all a story. When I was young, I was an inventor, looking to make that million-dollar invention. I had many, but the one I went with was a holder that straps a plastic bottle to your leg. You see, it was the Fourth of July, and I brought a drink in a plastic bottle that cost me $20.00 at a fair. It still had soda in it, and I drove my motorcycle, but could not find a way to ride it. You see, you need both hands to ride a bike. You need one for the throttle and one for the clutch. I paid a lot for the drink and didn't want to throw it away. So I looked for a way to strap it to the bike, but there was no place to do so. I sat on the bike and saw that the only place was my leg. "The Mother of Necessity" was born. Long story short, I spent over $10,000 dollars to have this made. Most of it was for the lawyer to get it patented, and the rest for manufacturing. On my next invention, I ask myself. Who made the most money on my invention? It was the lawyer, well, I did not have the money or the desire to go to law school. So, who made money on my invention next? Was it the manufacturing company? Yes, so I went to business and manufacturing school. Because there are so many people who want and have an idea that they think will make them a million dollars. By learning manufacturing and starting a company, I was able to earn money from inventors and make millions in the process. Now, the point of this story! Don't write books looking to make lots of money! Just write books to learn, from each book you write. With every book you write, you will get better or get worse. There is success from failure! When you have failed so many times, there is only success to gain. Teach others how to write books. Teach about all the mistakes you have made, then talk about all the successes you have had. The money is not in writing books! The money is in teaching others how to write books. I will be the first and the only one to tell you the truth! The money is not in writing books. The money is in teaching "How To Write Books"! Learn this lesson from me for free. So, write books until you have failed so many times that you can't fail anymore. Teach other people who want to make millions of dollars from that one or many books. So, in closing, Krista, there are many tools. I use DS Amazon, Book Bolt, and KDSPY. When you learn how to do something and know how to do it, yes, I can build a house without a blueprint, because I have done it many times. "Just Write a Book." Do it to learn, not to make money from that first, second, third, fourth, fifth, etc, etc, etc.

@Krista Brea, It's all in what you like to do. What is your passion? If it's in writing books, nothing wrong with that. If you want to teach, find the passion in teaching. The Keyword is #Passion. If you want to write a few books, try to get that one big paycheck if that is a passion, nothing wrong with that. If one puts passion into learning to teach. Passion will pay off! But you must commit, all in, to get the payoff. On the motorcycle, it was 1989, and there were no cupholders on a Yamaha FZR700. What kind of motorcycle do you ride?

Okay, Mia, it's dinner time over here. Thank you for chatting with me. I enjoyed our time, and I hope you will become my friend. Have a good night in the city that never sleeps. New York, New York!
Oops I did it again!
Just wanted to share that when you work really hard and don't see any results. Don't despair, just hang in there one more day! Yes, I sold another book.

@Krista Brea It's the little things in life that make you happy! Not 10K checks. It will take many years for young people to understand what I'm saying.
If You Received a $10k Royalty Check...
💰 Hypothetical Question... If Amazon dropped a $10,000 royalty check into your bank account this month from your books, what would you do with it? Would you: 📚 Reinvest it into publishing more books? ✈️ Take a dream vacation? 💳 Pay off debt? 🏡 Put it toward a home project? 📈 Invest it for the future? 👨‍👩‍👧 Spend more time with family? One of the things I love about publishing is that every book can become a digital asset that continues working long after you've finished writing it. So tell me... What's the first thing you'd do with a $10,000 royalty check?
