Sorry to hear of this. A lot of workplaces are so toxic because of poor management rather than safe and trustworthy leadership. I experienced a traumatic event last year with my last job where I was fired 8 weeks after my father died because I wasn’t able to work full time even after providing medical certificates. Because I spoke up about my workload that had not been adjusted they didn’t like it and fired me. After that I wrote down in a journal what I want in a workplace, what I what my managers to be like, my salary etc. I had 10 weeks off work on government benefits, many interviews and job offers. One day I answered a call and I was offered a job interview for a role I never applied for. It was the universe looking after me. I turned down another contract I was about to sign and took this offer. It’s the best workplace I have ever worked in and the job is not stressful at all! I get to travel as my job is a field based role and when not in the fields I’m working from home. This job has allowed me space and time and work life balance to be able to work on my coaching career. I obtained my coaching certification with Ed and now I’m enrolled in the COA training. No job is worth your mental health. Just get clear on your goals and what you want, write them down and take the necessary steps to make your dreams come to life. Life is too short to be doing things we don’t want to and being stressed and sick due to a toxic job! I truly hope things work out for you. The investment you make on your coaching will be worth it 🙂
