The Art of Love
Love is not a hurried thing, not lightning in a sudden sky, it’s more like patient brushstrokes laid while quiet seasons wander by. It learns the shape of another heart, the shadows hiding deep inside, then paints with kindness, soft and slow, where wounded hopes once tried to hide. The art of love is not perfection, no flawless canvas hung above, it’s messy lines and colors blending, that beautiful, unfinished love. It’s learning when to simply listen, when silence says far more than speech, and knowing some of life’s best truths are lessons only hearts can teach. It’s holding on through storms of doubt, when skies grow dark and hope feels thin, and choosing still to stand beside the soul you’ve promised to stay within. The art of love takes time and courage, a steady hand, a willing heart, for anyone can fall in love, but few w ill learn its truest art. Jason Strickland The Art of Poetry Community

Hello everyone, My name is Jason Strickland, and I’m the founder of The Art of Poetry Community. I just wanted to introduce myself and say how honored I am to be connected with Joshua and the beautiful work being done here at Grace 4 Africa Child Care Orphanage. Joshua recently sent me a video of the children saying hello I'll be honest it touched my heart deeply. Moments like that remind me why kindness, words, poetry, and community matter so much. The Art of Poetry is a community of writers, poets, dreamers, and everyday people who believe words can heal, encourage, and bring people together. I’m grateful for the chance to share a little love, encouragement, and poetry with these amazing children. To Joshua, the children, and everyone here thank you for welcoming me. I’m truly honored to be part of this connection. With respect and gratitude, Jason Strickland Founder, The Art of Poetry Community
"The Superpower You Forgot”
Please read to the children for me my friend Hey you, yes YOU, don’t look around, I’m talking to you right now, right now! Did you know you’ve got some power inside? Not in your shoes, not something you hide. It’s not in your pockets, it’s not in your shoe, It’s something amazing that lives inside YOU! It shows when you laugh, it shines when you smile, It helps you be brave when things take a while. It grows when you try, even if you fall, It stands you back up and says, “Give it your all!” You don’t need a cape, you don’t need to fly, You don’t need magic to reach for the sky. Just be who you are, strong and true, Because the real superpower is YOU. By Jason The Poet The Art of Poetry Community
