Time
Time moves quietly, never loud or bold, A silent river that can’t be controlled. It slips through fingers like grains of sand, A gentle thief no one can command. It walks beside us from day to night, Through days of darkness and days of light. It watches closely as moments grow, Then carries them places we cannot go. Time holds memories warm and deep, The ones we cherish and the ones we keep. It marks our laughter, it feels our pain, Like summer sunshine after rain. Sometimes it flies on wings so fast, Other times it lingers, refusing to pass. But whether it rushes or slowly climbs, None of us can bargain with time. Yet time’s a teacher, steady and true, Showing us what love can do. For in each moment we choose to spend, We’re writing the story that time will defend. So hold each hour, let your heart chime, For life is measur ed in moments and time. By Jason Strickland
