Psalm 70 - David’s humility to continue time and again to seek gods help really makes me realize how little I tend to rely on him. As a man who is striving after patience and obedience, I’m grateful for this lesson today that I can re-posture myself moving forward. This verse says it all.. ”But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!”“ Psalms‬ ‭70‬:‭4‬ ‭ Acts 3 - Peter has gone through a transformation, just a few short months ago he denied Jesus, hid, went back to his old life as a fisherman, until Jesus resurrected and re-commissioned him. His heart changed, he’s now all in and on fire for the kingdom. The Holy Spirit is now inside of him and he’s performing healings in Jesus name. He had a radical moment with God and the Holy Spirit and he’s using his gifts to bless the world. This is but a glimpse into the RW and KMA men who are working for the kingdom. Peter gives a speech, encouraging repentance, encouraging a clean life, pleading that our salvation should be accompanied by a changed heart and a straight path. When I’m living in obedience, I feel the lords blessing and presence more fully. I want to be completely immersed in his loving presence, therefore I remain obedient. 2 Sam 9 - after all the harm, David still wishes to bless the house of Saul.. his covenant with Jonathan is stronger than any bitterness or revenge he seeks from Saul’s behavior. How gracious that the Lord treats me the same way. I act as if I’m in contempt, yet he seeks me out to bless me. Thank you for your mercy lord. David raises up Meshibosheth and places him at his table. He’s lame, disabled, and disregarded by everyone in society but david elevates him to royal status. That’s the kingdom in a snapshot. That’s how we’re meant to honor others and that it means to love your neighbor.
