If you keep your ear to the ground on everything AI? You’ll know that as of August 2nd… Article 50 of the EU AI Act is live and enforceable. Here’s what that means for us. If a person talks to any kind of AI, they have to be told they are interacting with an AI system. And they need to be told, at the latest, on the first interaction. That applies to your text follow-ups, the chat widget on a website, the voice agent answering calls, etc. Now, if you’re based somewhere like the US, UK, Australia, etc., you 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐬 “𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞’𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦”. Don’t. At least not until you’ve made sure it doesn’t apply to you. Because this new law has got 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐚𝐫𝐞 and where your business is based. And has 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 sitting that’s interacting with your AI bot, or your client's. I’ve recorded a video with a rundown of what you need to know, how to check if this applies to you …and 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 inside a live Android. (SPOILER: These are EASY tweaks you can make to your AI bots to stay compliant) ===> WATCH IT HERE Here for ya! Dan
