This was a great session! Liquid gold. A few of my biggest takeaways - Many of us a helping an earlier version of ourselves, but we sometimes forget the language and struggles of that version of ourselves. We want to reconnect with that version of ourselves as we create offers for our ideal clients - Many of us make the mistake of building what we think would be great instead of asking people what they actually want or think they need most - What people think they need is often different that what they truly need, but in order to get them to take the first step - we have to speak in their language and from what they think they currently need. - @Jill Hart is a rockstar as she helped each of us with ideas around our offers and messaging and there was a wide range of businesses represented. Way to go Jill!

This is so VERY important I'm just copying and pasting this... Sam Ovens taught this framework. It fixes the #1 mistake most Skool builders make. Most people start with their passion, then try to find members. And it's the wrong order. Here's the right way: 1. Market — Pick who you want to serve first. Not what you want to teach. Who. 2. Problem — Find what they're already struggling with. Don't invent problems. 3. Solution — Build a community that helps them faster or better. 4. Passion — Check if you actually enjoy serving this group long-term. Most people do: Passion → Solution → Market → Problem. That's why they can't grow. The right order is: Market → Problem → Solution → Passion. When you pick your market first, everything becomes clearer. You're not guessing what to build. You're solving what they need. Direction matters more than speed. You can build all day with the wrong niche and get nowhere. Are you following this order?

@Jill Hart This is gold. Sam breaks it down so simply and I know many of us heart-centered people love to run with the passion first and might feel challenged by this. Another way to think of it is using passion at the litmus test - going through the first 3 steps as an experiment or idea to then see if they end up aligning with the passion as well. I don't see his formula as saying do things your not passionate about. I really see it as still putting the same pieces in alignment but changing which one you might start with.
My big life lesson
I grew up rarely asking for anything. When we went visiting, I wasn’t allowed to ask for water, to use the toilet, or for anything at all, in case it inconvenienced someone. As ridiculous as it sounds now, that mindset stayed with me for a long time. I learned to go without, to expect disappointment, and to believe that if I wanted something, I’d have to sort it out myself. It’s only in the last ten years that I’ve really questioned this. How can we receive what we want if we never ask? How can others know how to support us if we don’t say what we need? And how can life, or the universe, respond if we don’t even know what we want our life to look like? I see this pattern so often in clients I work with, especially in women and mothers. We give, we sacrifice, we cope and somewhere along the way, we stop expecting anything for ourselves. We forget how to want. This isn’t about being materialistic. It’s about reconnecting with desire and clarity. You can’t consciously create a life you want if you haven’t taken the time to recognise what that is. Have you ever really stopped to think about what you want for your life?

@Lorene Roberts So true. I definitely see it as at least two big challenges people often face. Disconnecting with what we truly desire and lack of clarity to me are often closer to the foundation challenge. Once we see what that is for us, even if it's just for this part of our journey, I see then getting into the asking for what we want as the second big challenge. Thanks so much for reminding us!
