Back Stiffness in Morning
I know a lot of you are old washed up meatheads like me, so I’m sure you’ll get great use out of this video I put together last night on YouTube. By the way, how are things going with your workouts and diet? I know holiday season is tough, so wanna make sure you’re good. Chime in and let’s get things sorted out if you’re struggling… Hands Up…Keep Fighting!!!

Have you been spying on my mobility routine? Lol. Half of those are what I do and some I haven't seen. Thanks for a helpful, practical video.

@Jerry Kontos To be fair, when it comes up, I always recommend friends or family with back issues not to go the surgery/ fusion route and to look up the regret rate percentage.
Sweet Tooth? [Eat This…Not This]
After jiu-jitsu tonight, my son was jonesing for some Firehouse. And since I hadn’t thawed out any venison or had anything else to cook for dinner I just told Hadia (my wife) to put in an order for pickup. Now, for those of you with kids, you know this means that (1) kids will get a kid meal that includes a cookie, and (2) the dad tax will almost ALWAYS be taken out. When that’s the case and I’ve got a sweet tooth, one of my official go to’s to help keep on track with my diet is high protein ā€œkidā€ cereal. The one I’ve been meathead ā€œfat-kiddingā€ out to recently might be my favorite of all time! ā€œGhostā€ brand peanut putter cereal with Fair Life chocolate milk. Crushing a SMALL bowl (helps portion size control) after dinner instead of a brownie or cookie is a great high protein and low sugar option for you to keep on the diet wagon while shutting up the fat-kid voice in your head. At 25 g of protein, and delicious, it makes for a killer ā€œdessertā€!!! It admittedly may not be the BEST quality protein, but it beats the hell out of a 300-400 calorie cookie or brownie that spikes your insulin levels…. How’d diet and training go today? Chime in!!! Hands Up…KEEP FIGHTING!!!

I love Ratio Yogurt cups. Low sugar + 25 grams of protein. Since you mentioned the cereal, my best friend who's a personal trainer said to avoid this protein cereal. He said it's ass. Like how do these companies mess up chocolate?
Thanksgiving on a ā€œDietā€
l often get asked how to stay on a sound diet during the holidays. And every time I'm asked about it people seem to be disappointed yet a little relieved by my response. I tell them to enjoy themselves guilt free the way they did BEFORE adulthood burdened them with the stress of being on a diet! Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, New Years, your birthday…these are all days that at one point in life you enjoyed in a carefree manner. And I'm willing to bet a lot of the nostalgia from those days in the past was attached the taste, site, and smell of foods that were commonly served. So why punish yourself by depriving yourself of something as joyous as that?! Doing so doesn’t make you hardcore. It makes you a masochist!!! My take, enjoy a platter of your favorite foods guilt free, but acknowledge the need to get right back in the wagon the next day. Trust me...one day will NOT destroy your progress. It's consistently eating like shit that does. So enjoy tomorrow with your family without a single thought of guilt, and get right back to work on Friday! Love you and am thankful for all you guys and the purpose you give me!!! Hands up...KEEP FIGHTING!!!

Oh damn, that turkey is gonna bench press me before carving me up! Lol I appreciate this perspective. Like Coach Gregory emphasizes- it's consistency throughout the year vs the day. Everyone is gonna have an off day or two. Best to acknowledge this & stay focused. I'll be working out soon. Snatches & thrusters. Recently took Coach Dan's advice & did a farmer's carry by marching in place & wow. 🄵 I was not ready. Lol Happy Thanksgiving/ Gainsgiving everyone!
Curious What YOU Think
Before I film a YouTube video that will UNDOUBTEDLY get me a lot of hate, I wanna know your opinion on the matter. What’s more important for your overall health? DIET or EXERCISE? Let me know your opinion and why… Hands Up…KEEP FIGHTING!!!

I'm about 4 days into doing Heavy Hands while walking on the treadmill. I gotta say, it's a solid workout. While reading up on it, I came across this article, which is relevant to the topic at hand. Consider it food for thought. šŸ˜ https://www.artofmanliness.com/health-fitness/health/an-argument-for-making-exercise-not-diet-the-foundation-of-weight-management/
