I'm late joining, I saw this on Threads and couldn't find it again, but glad to be here. One of my wins was creating my speaker website (a goal from last year) and creating a specific tab for author visits (I get a lot of inquiries for author visits so I'm glad I can direct people to this page) - My video can be better (WIP) - https://jasmineapaul.com/author-visits/

@Pershama Dailey woohoo!
Day 2: Clarifying Your Bankable Message
Actions to take: 1. Listen to Day 2 Audio Lesson 2. Read today's Post 3. Complete Day 2 Task by replying to this post Good morning and welcome to Day 2. Yesterday, you took stock of your speaker business and identified what may be missing. For many of you, message clarity showed up as one of the gaps—and that’s exactly where we’re going today. Before you can pitch confidently, follow up clearly, or get paid consistently, people need to understand what you actually do and why it matters. Clarity is not about being fancy. Clarity is about being understood. Clarity comes before confidence. ✨ Today’s Bankable Speaker Truth I don’t need a perfect message. I need a clear one. Read it out loud. What You’ll Learn Today A bankable message answers three simple questions: - Who do I help? - What problem do I help them solve? - What changes because of my work? - When this isn’t clear, pitching feels awkward, introductions feel long, and opportunities get missed—not because you’re not qualified, but because your message is doing too much. Today, we’re simplifying. This message will become the foundation for: - Your pitches - Your bio - Your content - How people refer you We’ll refine it over time. Today is about starting strong, not finishing perfect. 🛠 Your Day 2 Task (15–30 minutes) Complete this sentence: I teach __________ (audience)solve __________ (problem)so they can __________ (result). Then answer these two questions for yourself: 1. Where could I pitch this message? 2. Is this a problem people or organizations would pay to solve? Post Below Using This Format My bankable message is: I teach __________ solve __________ so that they can __________. After you post, reply to at least one other person’s post with encouragement or clarity. Sometimes hearing your message reflected back helps it land. I’m in the room with you—let’s keep building. __________________________________________________________________________________

Bankable message 1: I teach kids to learn about money so they can become the next generation of wealth builders. Bankable message 2: I teach new authors how to pitch and secure funding to write the books of their dreams. (in progress) 1. CFP firms, Banker's Associations, Children's Museums, School Districts, Youth development organizations, National organizations 2. Yes, there are mandates for kids to learn financial literacy as a requirement for high school, UK just passed a law that schools will have financial literacy in schools starting in primary school. There's also a financial literacy crisis where kids are becoming adults clueless about finances.

@Dr. Tamara White great work - maybe consider VA and military installations - burnout happens quite a bit for military leaders (I experienced it) they would pay for workshops/speakers that will assist.
Question
When it comes to Day 2 - are we focusing on one message? I am known for financial wellness and have been able to build a brand/company with it. I also have a new talk I've been developing that is similar to financial wellness but more about pitching and alternative funding. Would I only focus on my financial education message for this challenge?

Hi everyone! I’m Jasmine Paul, a DC-based speaker, combat veteran, and former U.S. Air Force nuclear missile and finance officer. My passion for financial literacy started after living in my car during my senior year of college. I’m the founder of The Wealth Playground, a youth financial development company, and author of a children’s book series by the same name. Additionally, I’ve worked at Kickstarter and raised over $40,000 through grants and pitch competitions. I speak to K–12 students, and young professionals about financial wellness. I’m currently developing a new talk, “Pitch What Yo Mama Gave Ya,” (about alternative funding sources) - which has already led to 2 paid and 2 unpaid speaking opportunities. I joined this challenge to move from inbound bookings to consistently creating my own speaking opportunities. Excited to be here!
Day 1: Taking Stock & Laying the Foundation
Actions to take: 1. Listen to Day 1 Audio Lesson 2. Read today's Post 3. Complete Day 1 Task by replying to this post Good morning my bankable speakers and welcome to Day 1. I’m really glad you’re here. Choosing to show up and do this work tells me something important--you’re ready to stop guessing and start building with intention so you can get to the BANK! Before we jump into execution, we’re going to do something that most speakers skip, we’re taking stock of where we are now. Bankable speaker businesses are built on a solid foundation. Without it, people stay busy, pitch inconsistently, or struggle to get paid—not because they aren’t capable or talented, but because the structure isn’t there yet. That’s what this challenge is about. We’re not guessing. We’re building the pieces in the right order, together. Start with Belief Daily ✨ Today’s Bankable Speaker Truth I am a bankable speaker. My voice has value, and my expertise solves real problems. Read this out loud and let it sink in. What You’ll Learn Today: Sustainable speaking success doesn’t happen by accident—it happens when the right foundational pieces are in place. Before you can pitch confidently, follow up consistently, or get paid well, you need clarity around: - Your speaking message - Your target audience - The problem you solve - Your pitch process - Your speaker business systems - Your follow-up approach You may find that more than one area needs attention, and that’s completely normal. This challenge is designed to help you identify the gaps and then intentionally build each piece—step by step—so execution becomes easier and more effective. Today is about awareness, not judgment. 🛠 Your Day 1 Task (15–30 minutes) Review the areas below and rate each one from 1–5(1 = not clear at all | 5 = very clear and consistent) ☐ Clear speaking message ☐ Identified target audience ☐ Clear problem you solve ☐ Pitch process ☐ Speaker business system ☐ Follow-up system You can rate more than one area as lower than you'd like—that’s expected.
