Good Food For Thought..
There is definitely a gap when it comes to the educational system as a whole. The system was broken in our public schooling and if you stand back and look at it, it’s also broken in cosmetology school. What system am I talking about? The most important piece of the journey. that lead us to financial success? Understanding how to truly build, develop and scale a BUSINESS. Here is just a snapshot of the gap that most cosmetology professional struggle with: Understanding business management, marketing strategies, systems and operations, financial literacy, profit, and loss, etc. I could go on and on. Cosmetology schools focus more on technique development over business acumen which has led so many Hairstylist back to corporate America, when we are in a multi billion dollar industry. So how will we develop ourselves to ensure we can better prepare future professionals? Let’s make 2025 our year that we prioritize the business mindset for ourselves, and our businesses and our future professionals!

What do you think the minimum pay for Cosmetology Educators should be and why?
As license Master Cosmetologist, we know we can write our check. This is a multi billion dollar industry and the earnings are limitless if you position yourself properly. However, some of us choose to add more value to the industry by desiring to teach the future industry leaders. Most educators work for a corporate company that offer medical, dental, 401(k), etc. benefits however, the pay is extremely questionable. What do you think the minimum pay for Cosmetology Educators should be and why?

I really think it should be more than what is currently being offered $19 -$24 roughly starting depending on demographics, but most importantly what are the instuctors qualifications and background especially when taking on dual roles etc... So I would say $28-$32 min.
How will you commit to your 30 Days that’s remaining?
Whew! It’s been a year hasn’t it! If I must say, through it all GOD HAS BEEN GOOOOD!👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽 However the year is not complete and we still have goals that we must meet. Remember it’s not how we start but how we finish. *One of my unfinished goals that I must continue to commit to in the next 30 days is, Building My Online Course Completely out! How I’m going to commit to my goal in the next 30 days? I’m going to continue to record the content, edit and launch 🚀 the course🙌🏽 How are you going to commit to 1 of your unfinished goals in the next 30 days?

Im going to Refocus , Reshift not just on my lifestyle/ current job but on myself to continue cultivating what's inside of me that's going to help others instead of submerging and procrastinating due to being overly focused & pulled other places/ directions...
What are you willing to do to become The Absolute Best Educator you can possibly be?
Becoming a licensed cosmetology educator is just like any other degree. Once you become licensed, you can’t just stop right there. You must continue to develop your skill set. We learn by doing and we will always make more from what we know over what we do. This alone lets us know there’s a lot of learning that must take place to become the absolute best at whatever it is we aspire to become and we must be intentional. What are you willing to commit to, to become the absolute best Educator you could possibly become?
