We played it man to man with middle school teams. In 6th and 7th league I used the zone. Wolf, gap, lock, wall, bear. It allowed me to play all 11 of the kids on my team by giving them assignments. Some kids just can’t go out and play way out on the perimeter but asking them to play behind the bear on one side and cover the corner where the ball rarely goes really allowed me to play some lesser mobile kids. Also I had a player with a disability in her legs but she was a heck of a bear. We pressed out of it full court entire game. We competed with teams that were better than us and won a couple games we shouldn’t just because the other team was miserable. Last game we won to make championship we forced 15+ walks. I just gave every kids a job in it and subbed based on defense. My player who was starting wolf would move to gap when I subbed in a new girl who was fresh to play wolf. Kids had a lot of fun
