Where can I learn more about steadily and methodically building a rock-solid podcast that brings in serious bank, is well respected, and has staying power? In the classroom I see a lot of instant success stuff, and flash and glam... But where's the slow and steady method? Is there a class for that?

Hey guys so I've come across shows with the following things: - they look for guests - have you fill out a form - have you book a call - then you show up and it's a pre interview What are your thoughts on having a pre-interview call? 🤔 I work on an extremely limited time due to my day job, and I figured it would save both ends the time by me building a media/press page. ❓ I guess my question is for show hosts: this is totally not a diss towards your process, however in order to skip the pre-call, what would you want to see on somebody's media page or one pager? Looking forward to your insights! PS: I'm also finding no pre-call interviews feel more raw and authentic Cheers 🍻

Hey guys. I've been playing around with tools for my podcast. I absolutely love Descript. I'm very impressed by the AI tool to make summaries, chapters, clips. Huge time saver. Now... I'm looking at what software to use for recording. I know Descript comes with Squadcast but... it's been really bad for me. Like I can barely hear my guest. Very laggy, and if I try the same call with the same person on Zoom, no problem. Tried contacting their support but honestly it seems way too far from something I'd use to record podcasts. I tried Riverside which is great, but post-production is very clunky. I could do Riverside for recording, then import in Descript but it adds work and cost. I could also do Zoom and import in Descript, just won't have 2 video files so less flexibility. So nothing really ideal. Curious if you guys have any recommendations.
