Since I finished my zigzag bracelet, I'm looking for another project. I'm looking at all of these beautiful free patterns - International Bead Week, Deb Roberti's around the Beading Table - and I just get so overwhelmed! I see a project I'd be interested in, then I think - "Do I have all of the beads I'm going to need, will colors I have look good together, am I going to have to order something? etc, etc. I just scroll through all of the projects, get overwhelmed and go watch TV! Is this why people like bead kits? All of the decision making is removed and the project shows up. You don't have to worry about not having a bead and you know exactly what it's going to look like with the beads provided. Not, gee, I don't have any red 4mm bicones, I wonder how it will look with orange ones?

Along the way we all find that one (or few) things that helped so much that we can't bead without. To us it's so obvious, but it may not even have crossed anyone else's mind to think of it. What do you have that you cannot bead without? I thought if we shared that something then maybe we could make someone else's beading life easier and more enjoyable.

Hello! I am looking forward to hanging out here with like minded beading peeps!! I am currently working on earrings and lighter covers in peyote with delicas. I am a postmaster here in my tiny town of Manley Hot Springs Alaska. Home to approx 80 full time residents. So my offices isn’t always too busy and I have spare moments here and there to craft. Years ago and to this day I am a knitter. Then decided I wanted more and started bead knitting and crochet. From there I did many tapestries with delicas largest at only 4x6”. After that well it was knitting and spinning. I just ends so many things. I moved here 13 years ago from Michigan born and raised. Thanks for having me I look forward to getting to know you.

Does anyone know or have advice on how to finish the last bead on these earrings? I just don’t like the way the last bead is sitting! you go up through the bead. You have to come back down and it kind of turns the bead a bit. Any ideas or tips are appreciated.
