🧠 Clinical Reasoning Challenge
The best way to learn is to stretch your thinking! Exercise your clinical reasoning! A 32-year-old female presents with unilateral buttock pain. • Started 3 weeks ago. • Worse rolling in bed. • Pain getting out of the car. • No lower limb neurological symptoms. 👇 Before you even touch the patient... What are your top three differential diagnoses? Don't overthink it—just based on the history. 🩺 Bonus question: What's the first question you'd ask next, and why? I'll jump into the comments later today with my thought process and how I'd begin narrowing the differential. Let's see how everyone approaches it.

Hi Team, I just joined and randomly going through messages. Thought I’d try it out in case this is still active: DDX - Ankylosing Spondylitis - age SIJ dysfunction - asymmetrics rolling over in bed and getting out of car, no neuro Deep Gluteal Px Syndrome - ER & ABd load on these muscles getting out of car Q: To help differentiate btw inflammatory (worse @ rest) and mechanical (worse w m/ment) Does you buttock px get better or worse at rest / on waking compared to when you move around?
