Hi all, I (nearly) completed my first voice agent on retell.ai and am pretty chuffed so far. Cal.com integration, custom n8n workflows for rescheduling and cancelling appointments and lastly, a callback function. Of course, all details are being stored in a Google Sheets CRM. To make the agent sound more human, I wanted to include some pauses in the conversation. After some research, we should include - - - as pauses. This sometimes works, but it's not reliable. I am not sure if it is my prompt or what, but I would appreciate it if you could have a look at the snippet below and let me know what can be refined to achieve a slight pause of around 5 seconds. Say: "Let me check Mike's availability - - - - - - - - - - - - - Mike is currently with a client. I can arrange for him to call you back, or we can schedule a consultation. Hey everyone, I’m Aditya for the last few months I’ve been fully focused on building automations. I’ve created things like: - AI voice agents (Vapi + n8n) that answer customer queries, book/cancel/reschedule appointments - an AI social media agent that creates images, generates/edit videos, and posts automatically - a real-estate lead capture bot that shows property listings + books appointments - an inbox + calendar agent that categorizes emails, handles scheduling & sends weekly summaries - a meeting agent that flags missing meeting links, categorizes calls, and sends reminders I love building these, and I know I still have a lot to learn, but I’m stuck right now on finding clients. I’ve tried cold email, LinkedIn, Instagram, Fiverr gigs, Upwork… and I haven’t gotten a single positive reply. Feels like I’m building in the dark with no feedback loop. If you were in my position, what would you do to get your first few clients?
