How long do you exercise and how many x per week
The right amt is different for everyone depending on so many factors Good rule of thumb start 3 times per week doing anything.. You can walk every day of the week!!. Tell me how many times a week do you exercise?? And for how long????

WORKOUT VS NUTRITION
Just wanted to give some thoughts on these two monsters when it comes to fat loss... Honestly we need both for effective fat loss but with that being said we can loose fat and keep our muscle we have with diet alone. So if u had to concentrate on one subject to help a client who was fairly over whelmed i would say concentrate on making dietary changes to help your fat losss goal... After ppl loose weight how they look gets into their head as more of an importance since they can actually see changes....than the workouts become easier and more fun!!!.. Top 5 fat loss dietary life changes i would recommend...... 1. Write down and document for 1 week what you are actually consuming...every bite, every cup of liquid so we know were we are ACTUALLY at not guesstimating..... 2. Simple whole foods is the name of the game.. change out everything you can even if its little at a time for the clean simple whole foods....its weird how when we natural whole foods our body can actually use it tells us we are full and its always full faster than junk foods...because we can actually use these foods...with crap food our body doesnt know how to use them properly or what to do with them so you can eat a lot more before u feel full. 3. Calories in calories...fat loss is simple....SIMPLE...it is not complicated....you dont need to know all the ins and outs of macros....you eat less calories than you need your body will be in a deficit...you will loose weight....period!!!!! Dont say this didnt work for me....cause it works for everyone...if you dont loose weight after 3 weeks in a deficit...you are not in an actual calorie deficit... 4. Add in more protien...not garbage protien good protien...ideally 1 gram per 1lb of body weight or close to it....this will help your body keep your muscle and your body will burn fat than for fuel .. 5. Dont starve, keep your metabolism going, and Hydration, HYDRATION, Hydration!!!!!... BEST FAT LOSS AND MUSCLE GAIN PIECES OF ADVICE FOR EXERCISING COMING UP NEXT!!!

1. MOST IMPORTANT...CONSISTENCY
I asked peopl their biggest hurdles for reaching their fitness goals and i believe over all this ends up being consistency.. Everyone at one point in their life gets excited to make a change which can be loose weight, gain muscle, train for an event or just be healthier in general. It starts off good than little by little you go back to your old habits and lifestyle.....why? How can we stay consistent and maintain a healthy weight and life. The answer is when we make a change it cant be so extreme we are not going to be able to maintain it... We want our change to be a forever life change. Period!!!! It cannot be well i am gonna try to get real skinny and just not eat....yep that is downward spiral.... You starve, loose muscle, slow your metabolism and than when you start eating again.....and you will.....you will want the bad food more than ever and now you have lost muscle and slowed your metabolism which both are your calorie burners so if those are low it will be harder than ever to loose fat and gain muscle again. So honestly i would like to hear some discussions on what would it take to make a change in your life for good...would you ever do a permanent change.. Or are crash diets (that have than failed) your go to....yo yo?

Biggest hurdle?
I wanted to talk about everyone's biggest hurdle that always face when trying to loose fat or gain muscle? I will list a few I have seen consistently give ppl problems over my 3 decades of working out and nutrition. 1..CONSISTENCY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely hands down this one ppl always struggle with and thats so important. 2.Social gatherings....which directly correlates with being consistent.. its always used as an excuse to cheat on a clean diet. 3. EMOTIONAL EATING.. ppl get down or even happy or anything changes with their emotions like being lonely they eat...emotional eating is a big hurdle. 4. Dont like whole, simple foods. Pll say to me all the time..I just cant eat those foods... .... Pls anyone post what your biggest hurdle is to achieving your weight loss or fitness goal?? Will talk more on this subject the next posts.

@Boeden Greenley thanks boeden...this one is huge because we first have to address the trigger of the emotion thats causing us to turn to food which is hard in its self.. Than second huge hurdle with emotional eating is we cant get rid of food from our lives like we can cigarettes or alcohol so this one is tough. We need food so we have to work on a healthier relationship with food and find a new release for our emotional trigger that will actual work and help. This gives another great topic to address what could some of those outlets possibly be?
