We will be posting all resources on our new Earth Guides Trade Post hosted by Shopify. This seems like the easiest place to keep everything organized and easily accessed. I personally have been in communication with over 200 people in the last week, and I’m trying to keep things organized. With all of the direct messages, I have people asking for things like creative ideas, how to get people outside, how to keep them safe, ways to train staff, and more... From our open forum, we came up with categories like these. When we or anyone else wishes to post a resource in the trade post, we want people to be able to choose from different categories to make the resources and more easy to find. Category Ideas: - Specific Age of guide; 19-29, 30-40, 41-50+ - Age of participant; 6-8, 8-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-25, 26-40, 40+ - Global Region - Terrain; - Water Type - Type of Activity - Type of outdoor setting - Group Size - For Neurodivergent Participants - Inclusive Activities - Creative ideas - How to keep people safe - Leave No Trace Will you add your categories in the poll, and offer your 2 cents in the comments below? About This Webinar This free live open forum came out of something I did not expect: over 200 responses to a simple post I shared in five outdoor Facebook groups. Two hundred people raising their hands and saying, yes, I need support with this. So we got on a Zoom call. We talked through what people are actually navigating when they take groups outside, the fears, the gaps, the moments where it gets hard. We brought in real voices from real practitioners across Colorado, the BC North Island, Oslo, and beyond. This is meant to be an ongoing conversation, not a one-time event. You will find a write-up below, a downloadable Cole's Notes, and a living document we will continue to build together as our global community of outdoor facilitators, guides, and nature educators grows. What struck me most is the sheer variety of people who responded: different backgrounds, different contexts, different corners of the world.
