Hey Guys, once again I apologize. I looked at the calendar on Tuesday, and it only showed Ryan's IRB meeting on Wednesday (which I now see has changed). It also showed no Office Hours scheduled, so I assumed it would be on Saturday or Sunday (which I now see is Saturday). I have meetings with Liberty University tonight, tomorrow morning, and tomorrow evening. Ryan, these are in reference to the issues we discussed. I will not be able to make it this evening. I apologize, I scheduled these meetings based on Tuesday's calendar. I WILL be there for Saturday's Office Hour.

FYI: I have my Skool application set to open automatically when I am online. So, if you need me for any reason, you can write, and I will get it almost instantly. If I do not respond, it is because I am not online.
Article on Topic Development
Dear Members, The Institute is pleased to announce the publication of a new article entitled: 'On Topic Development — Research Formation Through Conceptual and Methodological Refinement' You may read the article on LinkedIn at this link: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/topic-development-research-formation-through-ryan-j-s-kotowski-s21we This article will form the basis of the spotlight lecture for this Saturday's Doctoral Colloquium. I encourage all members to have a read over the article, like/repost it on LinkedIn, and reflect on how the framework proposed therein can inform your own present dissertation work. I welcome any comments and critiques. Yours academically, Ryan

Hey Guys, I meant to write this last night, but apparently didn't. I am attending a Grant Writing Workshop today. I will not be able to make the Office Hours tonight. My apologies. I WILL be there Saturday and Sunday. Again, I apologize and will see you this weekend.
Dissertation Collegium
Dear Members, Please be advised that Dissertation Demystified will henceforth be known as the Dissertation Collegium, the flagship program of the Institute for Doctoral Formation. This change more accurately reflects the mission of our community. What we are building together is not merely a program designed to help individuals complete the dissertation, but a space for serious intellectual and scholarly formation that extends beyond the defense itself. We are united by a shared conviction: the ultimate aim of doctoral education is formation, not credentialism. Certainly, earning the degree matters, and that remains an immediate goal of the work we undertake together. Yet the deeper reward of doctoral study lies in the process of becoming an expert, a researcher, and a scholar. That is the achievement that endures for life. What is changing is the name and broader institutional identity under which this work is carried forward. What is not changing is the structure of the program. Office hours and one-on-one sessions will continue as normal. Your access to me, Brenda, and your peers will remain the same. In the coming weeks and months, you will begin to see program materials updated accordingly, and our LinkedIn presence will gradually reflect this new branding as well. Thank you for being part of this community, for helping shape what it is becoming, and for participating in a larger vision for doctoral education. Yours academically, Ryan

I like it a lot. I think this change is more appropriate to your ultimate goal. And, it sounds way cooler.

I hope this doesn't come across as childish and immature, but... LEVEL 5, BABY! WooHoo!!!

@Lakievia Johnson, MBA, CAPM, PMP For obvious reasons, I can empathize. Stay focused and keep pushing forward. When you start to feel discouraged, just say to yourself, "It could be worse. I could still be in 887 like Todd."

@Lakievia Johnson, MBA, CAPM, PMP I am Todd. My full name is James Todd Watkins. On some platforms, I go by Todd; on others, by James. In Brazil, my name would be "Toddy" or "Toddynho." These are children's chocolate drinks. So, no one calls me Todd down here. Everyone uses "James."
