Uncontested Divorce
I handled my divorce on my own—without a lawyer—because it was uncontested. My (now ex) husband and I mutually agreed to separate and worked out the details together. If you’re in a similar situation, you may be able to do the same. If you’d like support or have questions along the way, feel free to reach out—I’m here to help.

I am rather envious there; my own parents just separated initially, then filed an uncontested divorce once we were too old to count as children for divorce purposes, 7 years later. Unfortunately my own is going the ultra-high-conflict route so far, going to a lawyer as the first step rather than a last resort, making everything slower and more expensive.
Why Co-Parenting Was a Game-Changer
At first, co-parenting could feel impossible. There is tension, miscommunication, and guilt. Your partner and you are creating new ways of communicating. Once established, the clear custody agreements and set boundaries change everything. Give your kids stability and yourself peace of mind.

I like the sound of that. The clash between "no contact" (ex trying to route everything through lawyers instead of directly) and the need to agree things is a tricky one (so far, the usual "solution" is for her to do things without telling me) but hopefully she will improve soon.
