Hey everyone 👋 Quick bit of news: we're on YouTube! LinguaFocus is my YouTube channel where we geek out a bit on languages. Start with this one from me: a video on the different languages of Spain. If you thought Spain just speaks Spanish, this one might surprise you (and it's handy context before you travel there). ▶️ Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGR8PQndXNU I've also been working with another Spanish teacher in the US called Max. For his first video, he's reviewed Rosetta Stone Spanish, and the timing couldn't be better. Rosetta Stone has just launched Sapphire, a completely rebuilt version of the app, and Max covers what's actually changed. A few things he gets into: - Why Rosetta Stone never translates anything, and why that can help you stop thinking in English - TruAccent, their speech recognition, which is one of the best tools out there for fixing your pronunciation - Chat Missions, the new Sapphire feature for practising real conversations - The two main downsides: no grammar explanations ▶️ Watch Max's review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-oxMtqQpIg If you get a sec, leave a comment on YouTube and subscribe, and give Max a warm welcome too. It really helps the channel grow. ¡Muchas gracias y hasta pronto! James

Hola a todos! I've been away for a few weeks in Menorca enjoying some much-needed screen-free time. It was great to switch off for a while, but I'm excited to be back and helping you on your journey to Spanish fluency. If you've been following me for a while, you'll know I've tested a ridiculous number of Spanish courses over the years. Most are... fine. But one stood out enough that I've decided to become an official ambassador for it. It's called StoryLearning Spanish. The course is built around learning Spanish through immersive stories, helping you absorb grammar and vocabulary naturally instead of memorising rules. I've explained exactly how it works here: 👉 learnspanishwithjames.com/spanish-uncovered If you have any questions, just leave a comment and I'll be happy to answer them. Un saludo, James :)

Hola a todos 👋 Quick shout-out to everyone who joined last week’s Spanish-speaking session. ¡Muy bien! 👏 For anyone who hasn’t joined a Spanish conversation class yet, this is your nudge! 😊 Come to practice your Spanish! Our live conversation sessions are a relaxed, supportive space to actually speak Spanish, not just study it. Here is this week’s prep sheet. This sheet isn’t an assignment or test 🙂 It's simply there to: - give you a sense of the topics and vocabulary we’ll go through - help you feel more confident before joining - make it easier to choose the level that suits you best If you don’t manage to look at them beforehand, that’s absolutely fine. You can still join in. We'll guide everything live during the session. I’ll be sharing new prep sheets each week so you always know what kind of conversations we’ll be having. Premium members get full access to the live conversation sessions! If you’ve been thinking about upgrading, this is a great time to jump in and start speaking Spanish 👉 https://www.skool.com/learn-spanish-with-james-6006/plans
