@Dave Wallace I've not done the challenge yet as I've been working 14 hour days for the last month! Mine is The Sandscratcher. I'll get around to it at some stage - only managed to get my first video of the year done yesterday.

@Sir Perfect Guru The reason I get a lot of engagement is that I ask for it in the videos. I try not to be vague though when asking. If I'm talking about a subject, I'll ask a question such as, 'Have you ever tried self talk? How did it work for you? Did it work well or not? Let me know either way! But the key to getting good engagement for me is to take the time to answer every comment. I try to make each comment unique where possible, so that the commenter knows it's not just a cookie cutter answer. Also, I'll use their proper name if I can - if it's a name like mhillman2146 I'll go to their profile and see if their name is there. If it and it's something like Mark, I'll start my reply with Hi Mark! I try to make the effort to get the little stuff right. It can take a lot of time to answer all the comments if there are a lot, but I'm trying to build a community who feel they're part of the channel. My channel is moentized, but I get peanuts - it's taking me 2-3 months to reach the minimum payout. I suppose my attitude is that I'm playing the long game - it may take me a while to build a strong channel, but anything I can do to help build loyalty, I do. I don't know how others feel about this, but dive in and share your thoughts (see what I did there?) I hope this helps. I'm only a small channel so I'm sure others can give better assistance than I.
