Questions about growing plants upside down.
Hello I've seen some YT videos (mostly asian) showing people growning plants upside down in buckets and empty water bottles. I have a couple of questions for the seasoned gardeners. Is this a good idea to increase the planting footprint of a home garden? With vine plants such as cucumbers, tomatoes and mellons, is a trellis needs to counter fruit weight on plant? Thank you in advance.

@Megan Webb Garden bed with sip water system. Picked up a beef steak tomatoe plant and two bell pepper plants today at the local farmers market.

@Megan Webb I've recently been buy heritage seeds online. I have acumalated a variety of carrots, tomatoes and herbs. I have attempted to grow hardware store tomatoes plants during lock down. I built an above ground Sip system planter. The plants grew into huge tomatoe plants before dying. Out of all 4 tomatoe plants, I managed to harvest 1 medium size tomatoe before they died .
