Hi, Iām James from the UK. Living with dyslexia, especially as a late diagnosee (at 51yo), has been both a challenge and a teacherāshaping how I think, feel, and create. Iāve struggled with slow processing, missed cues, and the pressure to adapt to systems that donāt reflect how my mind works. But through that struggle, Iāve discovered a deep sensitivity to patterns, symbols, and emotional texture. Iām training to be a therapist, and I want to work with young neurodivergent people, and help them find their voice and manage complexity. Iām definitely not here as an expert, but as someone still learningāgrateful to connect with others who are navigating dyslexia with honesty, creativity, and care. Unfortunately, I have had to postpone the training at the midpoint after I struggled with the overwhelm of studying and lot of traumatic events including the death of my stepfather and the mother of my child being diagnosed with and treated for cancer. I am confident that what I am overcoming will benefit clients and community once I've gone through it.
