Something big is launching on April 28th — and you're getting first access
Hey IELTS Mastery community! I've been working on something behind the scenes for a while now, and I'm finally ready to share it with you — the people who matter most. On April 28th, I'm officially launching the IELTS Mastery app on Studio.com — focused on the two skills that make or break most IELTS candidates: Listening and Speaking. WHAT'S INSIDE THE APP Speaking Part 1 — Fluency drills and natural response practice for everyday personal questions Speaking Part 2 — Cue card prompts with model answers and 2-minute response frameworks Speaking Part 3 — Discussion strategies, opinion language, and band 7+ phrasing for abstract topics Listening strategies — Prediction, note-taking, and section-by-section tactics for all four sections Vocabulary for Speaking — Topic-specific phrases, collocations, and idiomatic language Strategy PDFs — Downloadable guides to study offline, any time, anywhere WHY LISTENING AND SPEAKING? These are the two skills you can't improve just by reading a textbook. You need to hear the language, train your ear, and actually speak — regularly, with structure. Most apps ignore this completely. This one is built around it. YOUR COMMUNITY DEAL Because you're already part of this community, you get first access at $12/month — that's $36 saved every year compared to anyone who joins after launch at $15/month. This deal closes the moment the app goes live on April 28th. HOW THE APP WORKS WITH THIS COMMUNITY This community is where we study and grow together: live sessions, discussions, accountability, feedback. The app is where you practice on your own, any time of day, without waiting for a session. The two are designed to work side by side. Drop a comment below or send me a DM and I'll send you the early access link directly. This closes on April 28th — don't sit on it! I built this because I kept seeing students who knew the theory but didn't have enough structured speaking and listening practice between lessons. This is the fix for that.

Here is your activity for this today — I want to see your answers in the comments below.
I am going to give you one sentence from an academic text. Your job is to rewrite it THREE times using completely different vocabulary — same meaning, different words. No word from the original sentence may appear in your paraphrase. Original sentence: "Governments worldwide are implementing stricter regulations to combat the growing problem of plastic pollution in the world's oceans." Rules: — No word from the original may be used — All three versions must mean exactly the same thing — You have until Friday Why this matters: Paraphrase is a two-way skill. When you can CREATE paraphrases, you automatically get better at RECOGNISING them in exam conditions. This is the single fastest way to improve your Reading score — and your Writing score at the same time. Post your three versions below. I will read every single one and tell you which version is strongest and why. The best paraphrase of the week gets pinned to the top of the community feed. See you in the comments. 👇

I usually like to stay at home in my day offs because I worked full time and have limited time to cook. So, whenever I have free time I will meal prep which will help me to eat healthier food even on the busy schedule.
IELTS Tip: Stop Trying to Sound “Too Advanced”
One of the biggest mistakes students make is this: 👉 Trying to use very advanced vocabulary… 👉 Even when they’re not 100% sure how to use it This often leads to: ❌ unnatural sentences ❌ grammar mistakes ❌ lower band scores ✅ What examiners actually want: Clear, natural, and accurate English. Example: ❌ “I am extremely exhilarated about my occupation.” (incorrect / unnatural) ✅ “I really enjoy my job because it’s interesting and rewarding.” (clear, natural, correct) 💬 Quick Practice: Answer this: 👉 “Do you enjoy your job or studies?” But follow this rule:❌ No complicated words✅ Clear and natural answer (2 sentences) I’ll reply and improve your answer 👇

I really enjoy my job because it allows me to interact with customers. I am a social butterfly so being able to connect with people excited me.
