How Did You Come Up With Your Community Name? 🤔
Every community name has a story… How did you come up with the name of your Skool community?

@Felix Urbanek Yes and no. Tai Chi is in a sense, all things. It's rooted in Taoist philosophy, the yin and yang is the tai chi symbol. It's all about balance and harmony. Then from there they developed exercises based on those principles and then martial arts techniques. Kung Fu. Which is where the health and fitness aspect comes in. Because it's all about balance and alignment it is especially beneficial for modern people that are constantly off balance and out of alignment. It also has meditative and flow aspects because it is about the natural order and how we align with that. So health and fitness is a big part of it, especially as we know it in the west, but it has more depth than that if you want to go deeper. It offers a way to approach all things, perspective. Plus it's approachable and scalable, doesn't require equipment or too much space, and often contains the community connection aspect that's missing from a lot of other things.

@Felix Urbanek Tai Chi Chuan is the name of the martial art. Tai Chi "for health" is the same movements but without the martial intent and the partner training. So one of those things is most likely what he meant. I do a lot of different exercises but Tai Chi is somewhat unique in that it encompasses so much. Most people wouldn't think of bench press as meditative or as a philosophical approach/outlook to life. So even the other exercises I do, such as Rope Flow, I consider to be Tai Chi. I generally do Tai Chi and Qigong daily. I'm a Marine Veteran so I know a lot of people struggling (not just vets) and I got certified as an instructor specifically because it was something that I knew worked for me and many others. It can benefit anyone really.
