I Got My 1st Sync Deal!!!
Hailz NLN Fam! I just got my 1st Sync Deal from a Collaborative effort with a Punk/Metal Producer/Composer/Guitarist I met at the Taxi Road Rally last year!!! We did a Metal song for an Featured Indie Film and it got forwarded. Don't know how much it'll pay, but the cool part is now we as Metal/Punk Artists have our feet in the door and was asked to create more music for this Sup. Mind y'all, Metal is not super common for sync, but when calls for submissions hit the Taxi website, we have to jump on them even for the metal labels looking for our particular genres, especially the more extreme stuff that I create. I'll keep y'all updated on what film and when it's coming out!!!!😈🤘🏿

Legal Advice
What's up everyone? It's been a while since I've been on here as life has been crazy. Which brings me to my request. I recently worked on a film as a first time music supervisor back in 2022. The film ended going to Tubi and the director told me that he would pay me so I eventually sent over an invoice for all or the work that I did for the film and he agreed with the terms. The problem is that this being my first time doing this (amongst other things I was dealing with in life) I didn't really have the best knowledge at hand to understand the legalities of the whole situation. Long story short, I never got paid, nor did the artists that I found music for the film. I reached out to the director several times but never anything from it. It was a huge learning lesson for me I know now and I wanted to know if there is anything I can do from a legal standpoint to get the director (or someone) to pay what they owe?

Maxi Single
Has anyone had any success with releasing a maxi single? If so, how were you able to reach your target audience? What type of ad campaign did you use? If it didn't work out so well, what did you learn about the process?
StreetTeam/Modern Musician
Did anyone attend the webinar or "Master Class" yesterday for Modern Musician? Any thoughts about the StreetTeam? Powerful tool I guess. I don't really know if it's exactly what I'm looking for. Thoughts......

I'm an artist/songwriter and I'm interested in solidifying the steps to be more consistent in marketing my brand.
