Thoughts on N8N’s new AI Assistant Builder?
For anyone who hasn’t seen it yet, n8n has released a new feature called the AI Assistant Builder. It lets you build workflows by describing what you want in plain language and the AI sets up the workflow for you. Instead of dragging nodes around and wiring everything manually, you can just prompt it and get a working starting point right away. I think this could be a real game changer for people just getting into n8n. When you’re new, figuring out how to connect nodes and map data can feel overwhelming. This takes away a lot of that friction and makes it much easier to start experimenting. There’s still value in understanding how things work under the hood but having AI handle the scaffolding means you can focus more on the fun part, the ideas you want to automate. For experienced users, it could make prototyping faster and open up more creative ways to use n8n. n8n is releasing this in waves to the general public, so not everyone has access just yet. Definitely worth keeping an eye out for updates!
