Hi fellow bikers, I’m from Northern California, USA. I used to do a lot of bike touring and group rides when I was younger (I’m 57 now), and my bike was my main transportation until my 40s. These days I have a lot going on, and I live in a place that gets 60 inches of rain and the wind rips the doors off of cars, so I feel lucky if I get to ride into town once or twice a week. That said, my goal is to bike more, and eventually ride 20 miles across the Oregon border, where there’s a really good sushi place. A more long-term goal: My wife gave me a book titled _Biking to 100 and Beyond_. I want to still be riding when my age hits the triple digits. (Another goal is to win the Goosify blitz with @Anthony Walsh , if you know what that is). Here’s a photo of my beloved steel frame Giant. She may not look like much, but she has been carrying me faithfully to work and to campgrounds, over mountains, through the worst L.A. traffic, and along much of the California coast since 2004.
