@David E This flop hits their range very often . However , we are not going to fold our equity here , so better pot it and get the money in as you did . Running into the a high flush draw ,will be pretty unfortunate, but with this spr it's probably unavoidable.

@Yevgen Ka straight draws , and pairs are exactly the hands that we are small favorite against them , and prefer a fold from them imo . We don't have much , but we have enough to stack off at this spr , so better maximize fe from hands that have decent equity against us , but can't stand this pressure .
Climbing Stakes & Strengthening the Mental Game 🧠🔥
Hey everyone, I’ve been grinding mostly on private clubs, playing 5-card PLO. Over the last months I’ve been doing well at the 2-4 and 3-6 stakes. At those levels, the games felt pretty straightforward, players were folding a lot, playing face-up, and it was easier to navigate. But moving up has been a whole different story… - Players fold less, both the whales and the regs. - Variance feels much higher since people get to realize their equity more often. - Honestly, I feel like my play has slipped a bit, partly from the swings, partly from adapting to new player types. I know that climbing in stakes is as much a mental challenge as a technical one. That’s why I wanted to ask the community here: 👉 What are your best mental game tips for handling the swings and pressure of moving up?👉 How do you stay sharp and confident when variance starts messing with your mindset? I’d love to hear what’s worked for you, whether it’s routines, study habits, mindset shifts, or even practical bankroll adjustments. Thanks in advance for the wisdom! 🙏 Looking forward to learning from you all and continuing to push up the ladder together.

@Vlad Vlad That makes a lot of sense. I do notice though that when I move up in stakes, I tend to focus a lot more on the actual results and the money swings, it hits harder mentally. On the bankroll side, I’m honestly not sure what counts as my “real” bankroll. I’ve been playing on and off for around 15 years, but came back last year as more of a side income. I don’t keep my poker money completely separate,I mix it with personal expenses and investments. I do track everything in an Excel sheet, so in a way the profits from the past year could be considered my bankroll. Would you say that’s a fair way to look at it? And in that case, how many buy-ins do you think it makes sense to keep for the stakes I’m playing?
Excited to Join & Learn With You All 🚀
Hey everyone, Super happy to be here and to see such a motivated and knowledgeable community around PLO. 🙌 A little bit about me: - Been playing Hold’em for the last 15 years, mostly as a part-time player. - Switched over to PLO about a year ago, mainly 5-card, mostly online. - Really enjoying the challenge and complexity that PLO brings compared to Hold’em. What excites me most is the opportunity to learn from people who are serious about improving and to share experiences along the way. 👉 I’d love to hear from you: - How long have you been playing PLO? - Do you focus more on 4-card or 5-card? - Any one piece of advice you wish you had when you first started? Looking forward to growing together, exchanging hands, and hopefully contributing as much value as I take from here. let’s crush it! 🔥

@Robin Portnoff Hey bro , I play on ClubGG private clubs . Most action is 5 cards , and feels like there are many whales just play so bad . Had sweet results on the last year . Played around 800 hours , with profit of over 130K including rakeback.

@Cameron Trivett Were checking when we are blocking our opponenet calling / raising range , and most runouts improve are good for us. The reason we do it , is to open the door for hem to bluff , as he possibly cant continue with much , mostly bluffs.
