Building an AI product photo tool -- what I learned about which models actually deliver
Hey everyone -- just joined. I build AI image and video generation tools for e-commerce (product photography, video ads, brand visuals). Been working with Gemini, Flux, Kling, and Veo APIs for the past year. Biggest lesson so far: the gap between what AI models can do in a demo and what they deliver in production is massive. A model that generates stunning images from a perfect prompt falls apart when a real user uploads a blurry phone photo of their product and expects magic. Happy to share what I've learned about practical AI image/video generation if that's useful here. What AI tools are most people in this group working with right now?

@Danny Sandra Appreciate that -- which part resonated most? The model comparison side (picking the right AI for the job) or the production gap (what breaks when real users show up)?

@Danny Sandra Yeah that gap is where most AI tools quietly die. The biggest one I keep hitting: what looks great in a controlled test completely falls apart when someone uploads a low-res phone photo with weird lighting. The model doesn't fail gracefully — it just produces something unusable and the user blames the tool. Are you building something where users bring their own assets, or are you working with controlled inputs?

Who wants to learn how to do transformations like this. Reply yes and I will build out the class https://www.instagram.com/p/DVUNpB9E4Lu/

Yes -- and the speed angle is what changes the game here. When a transformation takes minutes instead of hours, you can actually iterate and test multiple variations instead of committing to one result. That shifts the whole creative process. For the class -- would you focus more on the specific tool and settings you used, or on the creative decision-making behind choosing what to transform?
