What is the ONE thing a doctor has said to you that never sat right? đź’¬
We ask because we have heard a lot in this community. And some of it deserves to be said out loud. "Your labs are normal." "It's probably just stress." "This is what happens at your age." "Have you tried eating less?" "Have you considered that it might be anxiety?" We hear these from women who are clinically literate, who have done their research, who have been demonstrating careers and households while feeling like a diminished version of themselves. You were not wrong to push back. You were not being difficult. You were right that something was being missed. And the fact that you are in this community means part of you never stopped looking for the right answer. Drop yours below. One sentence. What is the thing that was said to you that you knew was not the full story?

I went to see a cardiologist because of palpitations, panic attacks with racing and pounding heart and constant fast heart rate and was prescribed a medication. I asked if Magnesium would help since my primary mentioned it. He said it had nothing to do with my condition. I later tested for magnesium deficiency and I was very deficient. Low and behold 2 weeks after starting to take it I saw improvements. I weaned my self off the medication and never went back to see him. My heart rate is now back to normal. I probably would have died if I just followed his advise.

Hi, I'm jacky! I'm here because I'm tired of being tired, sleeping poorly and having gut issues (SIBO and dysbiosis).

This is my 3rd time treating SIBO in the past 8 years. The first 2 times the two separate docs who treated me told me nothing about preventing relapse.
