Contact with a "no-contact" again?
Hi guys. I've been out from under my parents roof for 2 years now. It was needed to let go of some truama, heal a bit and live my life more authentically. I've send a few msg to my parents a bit but not much. I still think they are the same. This summer I will visit my home country Ireland before starting work. Do you think it's a good idea to speak with my dad again? I'm not sure, he's probably still the same..gas lighting, intimidating, negative and an energy vampire. I think it's wise to live somewhere else for my time there, even if they offer a free place to stay. Love to hear your thoughts.

@W Ryan Fowler Yeah I think I should meet them and see how my guy feels. It's more my Dad that is the person that really tried to mess with me but some others too if just not as forcefully. I did nothing wrong, actually when I starting levelling up and having some confidence in myself that is when family members would not accept the new me.

Also I do think he tried and still does to mess with me mentally to bring me down and doubt myself. He wants someone to be with his miserable self. He even said "if your sick why don't you come home." I'm not sure what to interpret that as , I told him I had a flu now but of course I'll be better in a few months. Comments like this and others which are not as easy to cover up as a mistype etc have been to written by him and my mother which I think try to get at me mentally. Unless I'm reading too much into things but I don't think so. My gut tells me they both use covert ways to unsettle me and that's why I got out 2 years ago. My dad doesn't want to see me succeed only in his own way.
