In other news…I just got back from the Black Spa Expo in Miami! And Miami doesn’t owe me a thing, okay! It was fun but I also walked away with some amazing gems, some new connections, and renewed motivation to get to this bag!! 3 Things I Walked Away With: 1. Mind the business that pays YOU! Focus on your specific goals and vision for your business. Don’t let the social media trends or what you see on social media dictate your success or who you are. Your business stands out when you remember you’re in a lane of your own and there is no competition except for the person in the mirror! 2. Stop being scared to be visible. You want to make more money but you aren’t showing up so more people can see what you have to offer. Post the content! Go to the networking events! Without visibility, you’re just like a Louis Vuitton store in the middle of the desert. You have an amazing product but nobody can see you! 3. You can’t do it alone. I talked to so many black women spa professionals who are making $20 million dollars and more a year and they all mentioned the fact that they have a team to help them stay successful. There’s only so much you can do as a one-woman show and building a team of people who have other strengths and talents that add to yours will not only help you focus on what you need to in your business but it will also accelerate your growth I always learn something new when I get in the room with people who are more successful than me and I encourage y’all to do the same! My girls! This has been long awaited…I’m so happy to finally be able to say that the intimate bleaching kits will FINALLY be here next week! For those of you who purchased during The Founder’s Table event, I highly appreciate your patience and understanding with me and this whole process. Starting my own product line is very new to me 😭 and learning all of the logistics has definitely been an eye-opening experience. I will be personally delivering your intimate bleaching kits to you so you don’t have to wait another second on mail delivery. Hey my girlies! Check in time! How is everybody’s month of June going so far? If I’m being fully honest this month has been very slow for me..like the slowest month I’ve ever experienced since I’ve been in business. But one of my mentors always told me, prepare for the three J’s (January, June, July) because will typically be your slowest months of the year So this year I was pretty prepared and expecting to see a slow down in my clientele. If that’s happening to you too, don’t panic my girl. Everything is going to be okay. Now is the perfect opportunity to focus on the other areas of your business you may have been neglecting When’s the last time you updated your website or booking site? Have you been setting aside money for taxes? Is your back office set up correctly and organized? Now you can have that content day you’ve been putting off When’s the last time you deep cleaned your suite? Or now would the perfect time to invest in those classes or trainings you said you wanted to take Instead of sitting around being sad about your books being slow, put that energy into other areas of your business. Keep the momentum going and before you know it, your books will be back full And if you need help with anything, that’s what I’m here for!
