In-seam pockets anywhere you like!
After promising to do an in-seam pocket demo in this post here, Ive got it ready for you. I'd love to see how you go, and if this is how you'd do yours.

What is the width of the pocket opening?
Co-working sessions
How would you like the idea of working alongside each other - virtually online? We could open it up as a LIVE session, work on whatever you've got and know that help is right there if you need it. Settling on a good timeslot for everyone may be an issue, but we could try it out and see what happens. What do you think?

How do you buy your fabric?
Something interesting came up in this chat and I thought it was worth asking the group. Do you buy fabric as you need it and for a specific project? Or do you buy it when you see something you like and decide on a project later?

When I lived in NY, i would buy as needed. Today I live hours from a city, and shops are rare, so I tend to up cycle anything not used. Such as duvet covers, curtains, sheets, table coths and new towels. A creative mind find niches!
Knit fabrics explained
When choosing knit fabrics for tshirt construction, you have to consider how the fabric's properties, specifically its weight, thickness, drape, and stretch, will interact with the fit of your pattern. When Lycra® or elastane is blended into knit constructions, it fundamentally alters the fabric's core physical properties: stretch and recovery. This completely shifts how a pattern maker approaches draft ease for different silhouettes. So if you're were wanting a sleek fitted tshirt, choose a fabric with Lycra or elastane. If you prefer a boxy tshirt shape you would choose a standard single jersey or an interlock knit. Want a semi fitted tshirt - try a standard single jersey.

It is winter season where I am, I will pass on the Tshirt. In fact I am making a mohair winter coat.

Are you using a cotton stretch knit? Or viscose.
Freebies
Ive been thinking about updating the email sign up freebie this week. What sorts of things get you excited to join a mail list? Is the freebie even a consideration? What sort of thing (a micro tutorial, a PDF pattern, a cheatsheet to download?) gets you motivated to sign up with someone? Because you've joined our little gang of makers, and I cherish you all, I'll be making it available to you too. Drop some ideas below 👇

Petites are always having to adjust patterns, because finding patterns are rare. I sew using Burda and that too is rare.

When I was not in schoolI I helped my grandma serve in her shop. This was my introduction to a life of entrepreneurship.
